Union Meeting Minutes
2-8-2011
KTP Hall
KTP Chairman's Report
• The order bank is as follows: Super Duty 38,255 units; Expedition 8,655
units; and Navigator 1,777 units.
• The production schedule for February is 1,352 units off the chassis lines.
This has been increased to make up for the lost production from the "parts
shortage" on January 27 and 28, 2011.
• We have two TENTATIVE Saturdays scheduled. The dates are March 5
and 26, 2011. Remember that these are tentative and subject to change.
• The issue with call in pay due to production being cancelled last Wednesday
has been elevated to International. Our stance is that anyone that reported to
work that night is due both four hours of call in pay and short work week.
This will result in an additional 0.8 hours for those employees. This is
another reason that you should always make sure that all your personal
information with the company is current including your phone number.
• The election period for Profit Sharing allocation is February 14 through 22,
2011. You can do this by either calling the NESC at 1-800-248-4444 or
going to www.myfordbenefits.com. Profit sharing will be paid on March 9,
2011. If you are behind on child support or other garnishments that date may
be delayed.
• Our tentative vacation schedule is as follows: July 4 through 8, 2011, and
August 8 through 12, 2011. The company has until April 1, 2011, to notify
us of the dates. We have had discussion with International about moving the
second vacation week back to August 1 through 5, 2011.
• Everyone employee in the Ford Motor Company system will receive a jacket
to celebrate our achievement in quality. As details are finalized I will pass
on information to you.
• There will be a town hall meeting on February 8, 2011, to try to increase the
overall communication to employees in the plants. The hope is that these
will happen on a consistent basis and allow Ford leadership in Detroit the
opportunity to pass on current and relevant information to all employees.
These meetings will have the plant manager delivering the message via in
plant television. Locations and times will be communicated by your
supervisor.
LAP Chairman's Report
• All LAP employees with a TESHE loan will receive a coupon book to make payments.
You will only need to use this if you are on TLO. If you are an active employee you do
not need to use the books.
• Autotruck Federal Credit Union put on a seminar at the LAP hall to help inform and
educate the membership regarding finances. This went well and we had thirty members
show up for this meeting. We hope to do another in the future.
• As of February 27, 2011, all passwords are frozen to allow people the ability to access
their paystub.
• If you are on medical or TLO it is your responsibility to keep your optional life insurance
payments up to date.
• LAP is waiting on Transfer of Operations from Kansas City Assembly Plant. After these
people are moved then people at KTP and Chicago can return. Scott and I are in
agreement to give KTP employees the opportunity to transfer to openings at LAP. We are
trying to work this out with all parties and will keep you updated.
• LAP will bring on 19 electrical apprentices and 1 stationary steam apprentice.
President's Report
• The Local 862 Valentines Day dance will be Saturday February 12, 2011, from 9pm to
1am. The cost is $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door.

4pm through Tuesday February 22, 2011, at 7 am. Polls will be open at both halls.

Edwards for more information.

be accessed at the Union halls and must be returned by March 1.

www.UAW862.org or www.visitkingsisland.com/louford. The local will not be selling
the tickets at the halls.
