The Union negotiated for us. We're putting the Union in a precarious situation. If we vote to strike and against the contract they negotiated, we have noone else to look to or blame other than ourselves. Yet people are expecting them to show leadership. We can't have it both ways.
This is a big gamble.

Negotiations can take more than round to get and have the memebership accept a contract. Now as to what we make and hour or whatever, that is why we pay union dues for. We pay these dues so our Leadership can get us the best deal they can. In this case we were promised the moon but only was delivered the outhouse. It really dosen't matter if this contract passes with what is in it now or later, the company still reserves the right to lay-off when it is in their best interest to do so. I would like to see the retiree's get something out of this and as well as maybe something for us too. If our membership has to be hit with a lay-off to accomplish this then so be it, it beat's the other alternative and that is to pass this crap of a contract and still get hit with a lay-off.

$100 co-pay? Good lord, most doctors I go to don't even charge $100 for an office visit. I agree that we have great insurance but I think $100 co-pays is stretching it a little.

$100 copay is for an ER visit. doctor visit is a $20 copay, for BC/BS PPO , Did you even read the contract?

The blue cross would be a great deal if it actually had the same coverage as humana. If you're like me and go to the chiropractor and only go to your family doctor once a year, humana is still better.

I think lap65 was referring to the message kyjoe1 posted on page 1 about other workers paying $100 copay with their insurance. Not ford workers

Yes I was, I am fully aware of the $100 for E.R I was just being a little sarcastic about kyjoe's post, I actually agree with him about how good our insurance is, just couldn't let that one point get by. Its a shame the retiree's insurance isn't as good any more. Can you say VEBA. Easy there youngin.
