Sometimes we have no choice and can't buy usa.People always try to see if they can find something I have not made in usa. They want to make themselves feel better. I HAVE IMPORTED THINGS.But I try my best.So should we all Here, Here. I agree!

Some plants get a clothing and/or shoe allowance, like in a local agreement and then demand the company providing that clothing sells made in the USA products and are UAW Its one way to support the USA made stuff and fellow UAW workers

Two piece or coveralls, depending on your department or preference. Sad though, the small percentage of the membership who actually wear them... Interestingly enough, my coveralls provided by Cintas are made in Jordan. It makes me feel good though that a 12 year old orphan is surviving on Ford's dime. We all need to do our part, after all, we're not savages.

I choose not to wear mine because it makes me feel like a brainwashed robot.Walking around in FORD WORLD .Not into that. But Ill take them and leave them in my locker.Plus who in the hell is proud of a co. that fucks your eyes out every chance they get.(and union)I dont want their name on my clothes. If it was up to me they could just give me a check for the cost of the uniforms.Though it would be a very small check.foreign ass junk.

I prefer (appreciate) the shirt and pants provided . I keep and wash them at home. The pants start getting comfortable after a couple months and seem to thin out making them just right. Why most people dont take advantage of supplied uniforms is beyond me.

Ex-metalman That is the point of the voucher vs the uniforms, you get a certain amount of money to spend in a store that provides plant friendly(but not uniform) clothing So everyone doesnt look the same but you all get the same benefit.

You know what, I will take those uniforms anyday. They save me money on clothes I have to buy to work in. They save wear and tear on the clothes I do buy. Although I would take a voucher if that is what we get, I would still use it to get work clothes. I do not feel I am part of FORD WORLD. Oh wait, I am part of FORD WORLD because that IS where I work.

Gotcha Im also part of a team that works for FORD but,Some people talk about, worry about, brag about.etc.You see where this is going?Im glad I have a job at ford. But thats all it is for me.Ive worked here 17 years never got caught up in all the bullshit that goes on in there.I just would rather have the money that the uniforms cost than wearing PRISON clothes everyday with my fellow inmates.I live my life not being overshadowed by the higher anarchy that runs the world.I guess being a small business owner and wearing WORK clothes everyday sorta makes me not worry about uniforms?Fordwife you say some locals have it in their contract and they DEMAND clothing from the USA?Now thats funny how many MEMBERS can ever recall OUR UAW or ITS WORKERS getting what THEY DEMANDED? ???Theyll be no shelter here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
