Production for Saturday the 28th of July is canceled due to press 2. Management called it out when they called line time. They will schedule another Saturday soon but did not give a date as to when. I believe it was one of the arms inside the press and a crossbar.

The Automation stuck in the die and it struck by the top of the die. This is what caused the breakdown.

If he is retired he should enjoy life and not worry about what breaks downs at the plant That was a very rude remark and I think you should show some manners since you are new to our site. I'm sure others, and myself as well, wanted to know as this is a very major concern. Thanks Brent for all your input!!

Was just saying , I know when I retire I could care less what goes on inside the walls of the plant! Sorry !

Good lord kid, over react much? If they call then you're not working, chill out. Here's a hint for you, the less you think/feel/worry about ford, the better off you'll be.

Billy heres a simple rule to follow. Only believe 5% of what you here and half of what you read. And wait for the official memo or robo call.

Billy you better base your living off 40 hours cause this overtime won't last! You got a lot to learn!

Billy if you keep stressing over every little thing, you'll never make it past your 90 days or you'll have a heart attack, relax a little brother. And he's right this overtime wont be here forever so don't count on it when budgeting.

Don't be so sure it won't. Early last week they started shipping dies and racks back from Chicago. If press 2 doesnt run have to send out again. Press 1 can't keep up.

lapcrew, if you are lucky and get to retire from Ford, you better always worry what goes on inside your plant and Ford overall. The future of your retirement depends on it.

as an update, over on the LAP board ScottR mentioned that press 1 is still limping and press 2 is still down. Gonna be interesting to see if we have enough parts to run all week or if we get a little more down time out of this.

Both presses running for now did they resume normal production with press 2 or were they just doing test runs with it? Heard in the plant that they were just doing some test runs with it before trying to crank it up to normal speed later today.
