Ok, I'm new to this. Someone in trim told me they've done 9 hrs before on a sat. I'm in body and we go 3 8 hrs shifts so we don't go over BUT I've been at ford for 19 yrs and it's always only been that they could only make you go 8 on a mandatory sat. Memo came out today, Boxline and final going 9 sat. WTF. What page number is that in the contract, so I can look it up.

They can do pretty much anything. Shit, they can write you up for "failure to follow instructions" FROM YOUR HOUSE OFF THE CLOCK.

He is correct that it falls under balance out. They can actually call back to back mandatory saturdays under the balance out language but an agreement was made for the 9 hr saturday & 10.0 all this week & next to avoid doing the back to back saturdays. Between the balance out language, launch language, act of god language, and awol due to weather language they can damn near work you whenever they want and for whatever length of time they want. Need to run to the departments that are going to 3 crew in 2 weeks (body, paint, stamping) if your able because everyone else is about to get their dick worked to death the next couple years.

Wont effect you one bit. With 3 crews there is a crew working every sat 6am till 430/512 pm. Paint/Body/Stamping only have from 430/512 pm sat till 6pm sun to wirk any overtime & that would be voluntary. 3 crew is a 4 day work week. Enjoy!!

If Stamping/Body/Paint are outbuilding Final and they need to work Saturday to reduce the amount of trucks in the stacker. However, if Stamping/Body/Paint work 120 hours per week (3 crews x 40 hours)just to build enough trucks to keep up with Trim and Chassis working 100 hours per week(10 hours x 5 days x 2 shifts) then they will have to work super Saturdays and Sundays in S/B/P to supply more trucks when Trim/Chassis work Saturdays.
