Joe Mudd is A SOLID choice! Without going into my situation in depth, Joe helped me out tremendously, with something that was very time sensitive, on his off days, nonetheless. He jumped through Mega hoops for me by getting the ball rolling, sending it up the chain, staying on top of the situation, keeping me in the loop, and seeing it through to the end. Many people think Joe is, well, for lack of a better term, a "Dumbass", but that's just not true. Joe will stand up to the Company and even the Local 862 brass, if need be. Joe is a stand up Committee Man and will do whatever necessary to ensure his Union Brothers and Sisters are well represented.

Todd McKendrick. He has went through hoops for a bunch of us to get things done. He will get in managements face right in front of you about your concerns.

Angie Golden is the best committee-person I've ever had at LAP. She stands up to management like old school. One Committeemen told me last year that if any one of them had to use someone in labour they would use her without any doubt.

I see both on the floor everyday walking their route talking to people. Joe is my Committee Person and makes sure I'm doing ok. Dwayne is a great guy and gets things done as well. Both of them deserve our votes!

Of all the committeemen Mike Sounderguld has been the best one I have had so far. Helped me out numerous times. And straight up told me when there was nothing in the contract we could do. Just my 2 cents.

I'm a fan of Dave Brangers. Never leaves me hanging (unlike another union rep I won't mention) when in need and was VERY quick to act when my sup screwed up my pay.
I won't be voting for Angie because she pulls strings to let her daughter skirt the system and go wherever/do whatever she wants. If I hear 'my mom's a commiteeman I can do whatever I want' one more time I'll jump off the nearest catwalk. This goes for most of the line, as well.

Hey luwinkle there's always been a rule on this board that if you post negative comments for someone running you must use your real name in the post.

Barry Ford has been there for me,and many others for many years. His knowledge of the contract is amazing. Often when I have questions on the contract he even tells me the page number to look on, to verify his answers. He is a born leader, and is very intelligent. He is no push over when dealing with management. He's smart enough, and humble enough to ask others for more info before making decisions. I am very much looking forward to his first term. i think he will be fantastic. I haven't seen anybody else that's running for Building Chairman.

I have not had the same experience with Barry Ford although I am sure he does know the contract front to back because he was involved in the bargaining it although half of it says language tbd. I still don't have a copy of the local so I am going on what I have read off a website. I do not find him humble either nor do I agree that he values other's opinions and I have personally seen him bend to managements will. He is a career politician however (20 out of 24 years) and knows his base and so I am sure we have had different experiences due to that fact. Also he seems to have different rules for different members according to how they feel about him.

Knowing the contract and holding the company to it are two different things. Life long politicians like Mitch McConnell piss a lot of people off. No different than being a life long union politician. Put him back on the line for a week and see if he can survive.

Its a great thought, putting some of the career politicians back to work. But we all know, if they're voted out, they will find a soft landing. Appointed job, "special assignment", or my favorite a bid job that they got 5 terms ago.

C'mon grimace, doesnt sound like your looking very hard. Go meet Walt Lambert, ask him some questions. Dont let the little letter Stone put out about the union bug fool you. The reason Walt's material doesnt have it is not because he used a non union shop, but because he made his materials himself. Anyone Stone is endorsing for BC throws a red flag to me.

Joe Mudd is a stand-up guy. I'm not usually the guy who complains or asked too many questions, but when I did he was always there for me and the guys in my area. Recently I've dealt with Herb Hibbs when Dave Johnson kept giving me the "They can do that" line. His response was "No, they can't do that". Seems like another good one. I must have heard "call Herb" at least a dozen times in the past month.
Angie seemed great when we had her. Until she lied to my counterpart about a seniority issue that was taking a lot of time to be resolved. She told him it was resolved when she knew it wasn't. She knew she was leaving to another area soon and it would be someone else's problem.
That's just my weigh in. I'm a 2 year guy on C-crew.

Welp, Never seen that coming! I knew Barry Ford would win, but never by that many votes. I hope those that voted for him enjoy the same ole things we been putting up with. Don't come on here and bitch about the union not doing its job if you voted for him. Congrats Barry, I hope you can do the right thing and stand behind us and not be a bobble headed yes man to the IUAW. I hope you can prove me wrong.
