High Five Tour at LAP June 25th....
Wounded Warriors Family Support’s High Five Tour is the quintessential road
trip where we thank Americans from all across our great country for their
appreciation and support of our nation’s military families for the sacrifices
that they make when America goes to war.
This summer, the Wounded Warriors Family Support Mustang will hit the road for
the High Five Tour 2014. During the four month tour, the 2014 Mustang GT500 will
travel more than 26,000 miles as we crisscross the United States, traveling to
more than 60 cities and making stops in 48 states. Americans of all walks of
life are invited and encouraged to show their support for our military families
by visiting a stop on the tour and signing the car with a message of support to
our country’s veterans and their families.
Through the High Five Tour 2014, Wounded Warriors Family Support has pledged
$1,000,000 toward building two “smart homes” for two deserving wounded
warriors, Staff Sergeant Jason Ross, USMC and Captain Anthony Simone, USAF and
their families in San Diego, California and Joliet, Illinois. Both of
Jason’s legs were taken above his knees and that means he will never walk
again. Anthony suffered a severe brain injury he sustained after his helicopter
was shot down in Afghanistan. Both of these young men need specially designed
“smart homes” so they can have a quality of life that we take for granted.
We need your help to meet our goal. The road to recovery can be a long and
difficult struggle for our nation’s wounded warriors and their families.
Every donation, large or small, is deeply appreciated and helps us meet our goal
of making these “smart homes” more than just a set of blueprints.
