I find it interesting that even though both have had rough times in the UAW, Mike Stewart and Allen Hughes are 2nd and 3rd in the vote count. Congrats to them both!

I said it before the election and I say it now...95% of elected positions did not change...people complain but ultimately will not vote...only 2043 voted this past election for committee positions...1/2 the plant! Enjoy another 3 years.

Cannot believe Hughes, Stewart and Goodman won. I have a friend in Trim. He says the alternate is there more than Goodman is. It's a damn shame all the same worthless slugs slipped through again.

How do you justify your comment that Allen hughes is a slug? You are right about Goodman and possibly Stewart but not Allen?

Allen was trying to get us to take MORE concessions a few years back. Right before Ford posted profits. That's dirty business. But if that didn't bother you, to each their own. Thank God we apparently knew more than he did and voted that shit down.

So because allen, by himself, tried to get the whole plant to vote for more concessions? Allen just voiced his opinion on what he "thought" might happen if we didn't vote for more concessions. Our entire existence is based on "fear" anyway...fear of the ukown and what ifs...it's just that people react differently towards that. That one instance doesn't make allen a slug. The term slug is a slow, lazy person, for which allen is not...I just get tired of reading the same ol, same ol on here and people and their band wagon jumping,

The same people win because the same people go out and vote. It's really disappointing when half our plant don't care who represent them. Hopefully Scott will start getting out on the floor more and talking to people. I remember when he won BC the 1st time he would put out news letters, letting people know what's going on. Of course that stopped after about a year but maybe if our leaders start leading, more people will care.

Percentage of people of voting.... Ever wonder how polls are conducted its all math and pretty accurate... If you take 1000 people and ask question based on mathematics you can predict answer. Same in reverse 2000 people vote 54 percent vote one way, if 3000 people vote mathematics says 54 % still vote same way.
Elections always favor incumbents people prefer status quo fear of unknown. voting is based on popular vote, to remain popular politicians remain neutral in all things unless a majority of people back a situation then the politician will follow majority.... Its called staying elected+
Committee people are divided into 2 groups bargaining and districts bargaining has responsibility for second stage grievances and contract negotiations. so they are elected plant wide because plant wide representation. District people represents a select group of people and are supposed to be elected by that group, shift etc. But the way elections are being ran here the chairman is assigning the district of top vote getter so the district is getting random representation ... less accountability to membership.
If you want better representation you want defined responsibility (district) then you can evaluate representation based on defined metrics not random Political Science... Science of politics pretty interesting stuff Same people win because of the statistics and probability of a group.... Being played like a fiddle
