Don't want Kentucky to be a right to work state but if it were I would definately tell UAW to quit taking dues out of my check. No raise for 10 years, less break time, no more Xmas bonus and a give back of a holiday. When are you going to have our backs.

I wouldn't of expected a lesser of a reply from this guy about how fucking great our UAW is. I wish we could find out how OUR LOCAL delegates voted, because if they voted for the raise, people need to remember this shit come next election. But of course Im almost convinced OUR "NO" votes don't get counted and they elect who ever the fuck they want to. If the voting was FAIR, it would be ran by a neutral party on a ballot system, not a peck and choose machine that can be manipulated. Anyhow, if any of our local people voted YES for the raise, I hope karma bites you square up inside your asshole.

This guy didn't say anything about how great the UAW is... The basic formula for dues hasn't changed since 1967, that's all my post implied. The corporate world and it's supporting political party on the other hand has continued to spend enormous amounts of money every year to beat down the UAW and every other unionized worker in America...

No, out right you didn't, but you come to their rescue every time the UAW name is put in vain. Politics have nothing to do with this. Leave that shit alone! The UAW waste most of our money on worthless fucking expenditures. Im sure someone will post them up and you will tuck your tail and not respond. Millions of UAW paid dues on SHIT! Every year!

I'm proud to be a UAW worker, if that's "coming to their rescue" in your mind so be it. Politics has everything to do with it, if you don't think the corporate world wants to get rid of every organized workforce in the US you're living in denial... The only way the UAW or any other union can regain any power for themselves is to organize more workers.. union membership has been in a steady decline since the 1970s.. Unfortunately the cost of trying to organize workers is high, we probably can't even begin to match the corporate worlds spending. I'm just posting on a Topic here on this Forum, don't try and make it personal Anal.

We keep giving and giving. The UAW hasn't put anything back in my pockets for over 8 years now. You must not really work your ass off like the rest of us. I've yet to see a happy union brother or sister in this plant, unless they push a T-shirt cart around all day. Again politics have nothing to do with us getting fucked over. Where is your defense for raping our strike fund? For spending MILLIONS on hotel rooms in Vegas, Florida and other plush places? ?? Cut that shit out and give me my money back!

Well you can bet your sweet ass they didnt do anything today to help their cause with increasing membership. Just watch how many people in the right to work states tell them to go F themselves now. Can't wait til it comes to Kentucky. They are gonna learn the hard way to either represent their members or go under.

I work with people happy to be working every day... They know how hard it is outside of Ford. Sure, we'd all like to be doing better but Ford, or any other corporation isn't just going to give workers anything unless they're forced to, hence the need for a powerful, organized workforce. The UAW has made many mistakes, yet we're still battling when many other unions here in the US have been broken over the last several decades. How can it not be political? The corporate world is the #1 political campaign contributor.. I'm not blaming everything on the UAW though.. that's living in denial..

I'm blaming the UAW for fucking up big time. No outside places like VW, Toyota, Honda, etc will never let these ass clowns on their property for a vote after this shit. Hell, Toyota has passed us up in pay now as well and all the other foreign companies pay their new hires way more then we do. Again, Ktpelec, you are polishing a turd that will never shine again the way things are going. You post no facts to the defense of raising our dues.

I never said I was defending the dues raise...I just can't believe the basic formula for dues hasn't changed over all these years... You just seem to read way more than what's posted... in 1967 the average UAW worker only made less than $5 per hour. Not to hard to figure the math. Even back then dues only went up BECAUSE THE UAW GOT A FUCKING RAISE!

Question from KCAP. The story we have got is that the vote was cast via show of hands with no role call. But, we were assured that everyone of our delegates voted "NO". But, without a list of who voted what. Nobody will ever know for sure. Just wondering if you guys are getting the same story?
