Looks like most forums.... The topic always gets turned around. Everyone is losing money because of this raise. Doesn't matter what entry level you are. This goes directly to saugerman....... I absolutely knew what I was getting when I "signed on".... For the most part I am ok with that, until people like you keep reminding us of it. Just as you knew what you were losing when you voted way back when. It's not entry levels fault you voted that way. So shut up and accept what you did or quit. You can say you voted it down all day long.... Don't mean shit to me. I haven't met anyone who said or will admit they voted for it. Pretty much hand in hand with dues increase. No accountability. This Bullshit that it was done so we (entry level) can have a job is just that. I have heard way to many legacy say we don't deserve to be here. I deserve to be here just as anyone else does. I work, I make money, I pay bills .... Cycle of life. And no I don't live in a trailer trash park.... My partner has been at LAP for 20 yrs. she's not happy about what she lost but grateful for what she has. Her biggest concern right now isn't about the dues increase but about this new contract coming up and how they plan to bridge the gap between the legacy and tier 2....her concerns? Them trying to force a buydiwn for legacy to $25 and bring tier 2 up to $25. I would rather stay at my pay then to see legacy lose another damn thing. If that's actually happens, is it worth having a union anymore? Most of us just want to see what the union does for us moving forward

you dont get it the vote was a done deal before we even voted and yes I did vote no (don't give a ratz ass who believes me) but alot did vote yes seeing and hearing the fear the union spread to get the vote they wanted. Take off the rose colored glasses the union is not looking for your best interest as they are there own. I love every time we get a bunch of new hires in teach in our mistakes and then the whining starts. I am glad you found a friend in Captain Clueless...you could change your name to Major Misinformed and both of you can carpool in the S.S Whine-abago. You may go now..

again they told you up front no one held you at gun point. it's not a matter of fair for you it's whats best for them. The japanese plants have been operating this way forever. They made no guarantee that you will ever be tier 1. If all that is too much to bear you might want to cut your loses now and leave before you have many more years needlessly invested in this company. The last thing an ol timer here wants to hear from a new guy is how screwed things are or how unfair it is...we already know this from 15-20 of being screwed on a daily basis...so it's up to you to decide if the gamble of working here is for you. If you think I am being rude or hiding thats your problem I just try to get through the day in one piece.

So is a new girl ok considering I'm not a guy? I thought long and hard about what you suggested. I was thinking about the pros and the cons. Should I just give up and move on? ? Decisions Decisions. I decided to be miserable and suffer through it. If you can do it.... So can I.

Stop the Vcap "donations and that will hurt them a little. Pisses me off how some people were "FORCED" into donating into this and United Way before they actually started working day one on the floor. This is a CULT, not a union.

I will admit I was suckered into vcap. Filled the form out before I had my first paycheck. Do I just go to the union hall to stop it?

Funny how they get what they want so quick in the dues increase but its been how long since the local contract passed and I have yet to see the wifi, uniform allowance, west chassis restroom, or gym. Hell I haven't even heard anything about it from the union. I guess they think we will forget.
