Just wondering if anyone has heard back from the test, Its been 7 weeks and I have only heard of one person getting a notice that they did not score high enough on it to proceed on to the next process. They should have had time to have a list done but then I'm sure there will be no list so they can place and do as they please Thanks for any info....... .

Letter from the union said by the 22 of this month, we will see. they also said we would have results 6 to 8 weeks after we took the test to, Guess they needed the extra time to fudge the numbers.

Just checked my mailbox.....NOTHING! Doesn't really surprise me with this bunch of clowns. Maybe the letter meant Aug 22 of 2015? ? That would be more realistic.

Handout said the letters would be mailed by the 22nd not that we would receive them by the 22nd.

If you took an earlier test the letters were probably mailed out earlier than for those who took it late. Handout said all of the letters would be mailed by the 22nd. Doesn't matter I guess we all will get one eventually.

I got my letter today. I passed for the 2nd time in a row. It must take 95 or better to be put on the list. I am sure this process is completely legitimate.(sarcasm) I am not holding my breath on that assertion.

I passed and have aug 95 didn't make it. I know of a 94 that didn't make it, that passed. I passed last time too and I know people with less seniority on list ATM .

That particular Apprenticeship test has been around for years & the test answers have been passed around for just as many years. If you are not a part of the "Good Ol' Boy" fraternity then all you are doing is wasting your time by pursuing a maintenance position. The current "Good Ol' Boy" Fraternity was created around 10 years ago. These bums are using & abusing The Local 862 Membership & the Membership is allowing it to happen. WAKE UP 862!

I am at a loss as to how this works also. 95, passed not on list for the second time. Yet a guy I worked with, with 97 has started his apprenticeship. Ive asked for explanations, got none

The hiring in 1993 was huge...plus all the transfers in with more seniority...I would bet 1993 is the cutoff if i had to guess

Somehow im pretty sure we will never see an official list. I love how I/we "have been determined qualified for consideration, but PROJECTION numbers of apprenticeship openings and your ford service date do not permit your placement on the eligibility list"
Wtf? There is a shit load of gray area in that statement that will be used to screw a lot of people.
I guess a law suit is the next step. Seems to have worked before

I agree I passed the fucking test for the second time and received the same letter. I wish I would have known 15 fucking years wasn't enough before I spent 3 months taking those bull shit classes and waisted a Saturday taking that bull shit test. another ford fucking but the sad thing is I didn't even feel this one.

I can't believe people fall for this test shit...It has to be bogus..They're gonna put their buddies in first, then seniority..I mean I'm a state certified welder with 7/95 seniority, and when I had been here for 3 weeks I was in a class and there was a class of Welders they hired off the streets???i knew then how things worked. They said they check all you info out about your past work history when we got hired?Wouldnt you hire within your Co.Its all fixed..JMHO Good luck

It may go deeper than a buddy system. This is from the eeoc's government website, and may have something to do with people getting apprenticeships who have less seniority than other test takers. It's very doubtful that, even after almost 20 years at Ford, any of us will be able to have access to the apprenticeship opportunity. Read on to see why : eeoc.gov/eeoc/meetings/archive/5-16-07/stern.html

The conspiracy theories on here are hilarious...Sept 12th 1994 was the cutoff date to get in if you passed...60 people were put on the list along with the 8 carried over from the previous list...a list of all 60 who made it will not be posted because of privacy laws. That's the facts...suprised that it got past 1993 with the large hiring that year. Congrats to all those that made it.

One settlement summary on the EEOC's website states that 279 apprenticeships were reserved for African-Americans, another mentions 55 reserved spots. Whether the 55 is included in the 279 or in addition to it i don't know, but it was nationwide, not for any single plant. This settlement was reached in 2006, i think, as a result of a class action lawsuit brought against the UAW and Ford. I don't know how many of these reserved apprenticeships were already filled by the time we took the latest test. Im only trying to clear up misinformation and conspiracy theories with facts, that are publicly available on the eeoc website. I don't know what effect this settlement had on current test takers, but i would reason that reserving positions for people would exclude others. It "could" explain why people with lower seniority are getting in. Im not a racist, im just trying to better inform the membership. I'm a good person with a family that loves me and depends on me and i pray that by talking about this i don't face any reprisals. Maybe our union leadership could be more forthcoming with information about this matter.

I recently learned a few things about the program at Ktp. 1.You can be on the list for 10+ yrs 1.You start all over with your seniority. 2.Low seniority skilled trades can be FORCED to work o.t. 3.It takes 4 to 5 yrs to get thru the program(electrician) while you work full time and attend classes part time. 4.You can make over 6 figures if you want to live at ktp 5.If you have a family or a life be careful what you wish for around KTP. In retrospect, I am glad I passed the test 2 times in a row.
