GET OUT AND VOTE – Next week on Election Day, November 4th, take advantage of your UAW Negotiated Holiday and get out and vote. Your vote is your voice as an American citizen. It’s your opportunity to be heard, to hold elected officials accountable for their decisions and to have a say in important issues that affect your community. On Election Day, every vote matters.

The parade will march up Fourth and Chestnut Streets headed north on Fourth Street to Main Street and then west on Main Street to Sixth Street. It will include veterans’ service organizations, restored antique military vehicles and equipment, as well as active duty military units and re-enactment groups from all periods. There will be lots of music, speeches and gratitude filling the downtown area.
The Faurecia Gate Rally Rescheduled - It is finally election time for workers at the Faurecia Exhaust Plant. We want to continue to show our support to the workers by holding a gate rally at the Faurecia Exhaust Plant on Indian Trail on October 29th. For those who prefer not to drive we will meet at the LAP Union Hall on Fern Valley Road at 1:30pm to carpool. The gate rally will start at 2:00pm and will end at 3:15pm (4415 E. Indian Trail, Louisville, KY). We will pass out leaflets, hold union YES signs & UAW posters in front of the plant. We are asking that everyone wear a white t-shirt in solidarity for the workers. We have white UAW t-shirts available to all that participate at the gate rally that did not receive one at the last event. On behalf of Region 8, we would like to say thank you for continued support!
