Its bad enough that b crew will be sitting at home on election night while another crew will be in here covering our shift for double time, plus banking the extra paid day off... Now, we find out that we are now scheduled to work on Saturday, Nov. 15th. Yup, that's right. We are off that Friday for veterans day but we have a mandatory Saturday the next day. Good looking out for the dues paying members..

As of this week b crew is 1000 hrs. more than c crew on overtime equalization charts. If we just figure the hrs at time and a half, you can do the math. Also b crew repair worked all three days this past weekend,c crew once again no overtime during the week. Even though there are several campaigns going on.Trust me there will be b crew people there if they want to work.So tell me again how b-crew is getting screwed to the tune of a extra 1000 hrs. And before you make the silly comment "We chose c crew",i got rolled to c crew. nuff said

Better check your math. How often does equalization reset? Regardless, we were told ccrew would never factor in to that. " No extra days" for c crew is what we were told in several Union meetings. They screwed us on the local, now you all are getting double time on holidays as well as banking the extra day. Its my understanding that that particular issue is being fixed.
My biggest gripe is with scheduling us on a Saturday when we are off the day before.
How you liking c crew? Thought about maybe trying it out someday.

If you work one extra day a week for a year thats only 520 hours and even at time and half its 780 hours. So how is one crew a 1000 hours ahead of the other?

C crew was originally set up as a filler shift, not set up for overtime at all. I was in every meeting that explained this in 2010. Thank your ex BC Steve Stone for the mess he left behind with this. So those on C crew, just be happy for any OT you may get.

Frankly, I don't give a flying flock about the OT hours or pay, what I do care about is the extra personal day that gets converted....that's what I want!!!!

Its not so much the point of C crew getting to work a holiday in place of B crew as it is that plus scheduling OT on a Saturday that we have holiday Friday. B crew OT isn't voluntary. If they need the work so bad why not offer B crew to work double time Veterans Day night?

It does not matter what day of the week a holiday falls on, holidays are reserved for C Crew to equalize the overtime between the shifts. See Page 96 of the local agreement. If you want to work holidays & be able to convert to a personal day (as the National Contract states) then roll to C Crew.

It's simple roll to c crew if you want the holiday. I don't understand why b crew cries about this all the time. B crew you still get your holiday pay and you get a mandatory Saturday for extra $$. ✌

Shit,I'm a viet nam era veteran and I gotta work on veterans day and get screwed outta 2 hours pay that non-servers will get.The iuaw never gave a shit about veterans.Veterans day back home was always celebrated on the opening day of deer season in michigan. Total freakin lack of respect for veterans!I'll take veterans day off to honor my father,grandfathers,son,grand-son,nieces and nephews that served. If ford and the iuaw don't like it they can kiss my red, white,n blue ass!

That is what has happened since the last reset. The spread would be larger without the reset. I was more or less jerking your chain, I wasn't upset. I like c crew about the same as b crew. If you have young kids c crew is better.

We only get a couple union holidays a year and your all company suckasses for working them!!! Ill never apologize for working OT or on a holiday. Its my choice, & I don't know everyone else's reasons for going in to Ford, but mine is one reason only. To make money. If that's being a suck ass, then you're ignorant. Besides, people might not be so inclined to work these days as "company suckasses" if the union did their job, and we didnt work with so many pussies that take their word as gospel. Ill keep working all the OT I can get, this shithole isnt the destination, its a means to get to it. And you can wait on the union to get your back. Better get a chair, you'll be waiting for a loooonnngggg time.

i'm on a-crew. veterans day is tuesday the 11th. Fortunately, past Union leadership negotiated to celebrate the holiday on a Friday. Giving membership and extra day for the weekend. Current leadership, for lack of a better word, has decided that your weekend doesn't matter. Be off Friday and still come in Saturday. Nice job

We only get a couple union holidays a year and your all company suckasses for working them!!! Remember the days when everyone refused to work through breaks and days off? Now people are doing 3 to 4 jobs on the line at break and lunch all for the good of the company. Ahh, the 58 hour regular work week. (Every other Saturday). When 9.9 was called everyone would cheer like their favorite team scored a touchdown.

Please don't come up with another dumb response. I'm trying to help you out. Whining isn't going to solve your problem. ✊peace bros
