It will be here as soon as they get the contract passed. The UAW will claim it as jobs won at the bargaining table.

I always thought it was third quarter of 15 not 16.

Sure you may get a friend or family member a job but it's at the expense of take $20k per year out of every current employees pocket.

Yeah, I'd kinda like to know when I'm going to lose all my overtime.
I'm sure we won't get the OT after 8hrs back either.

Oh I beg to differ Driveshaftgrunt. We DID GET OT back after 8 hours but the company took it out after it passed. Look at your HIGHLITE or LOWLITE however you want to classify it book. It clearly staees that we got OT back after 8 hrs but after it passed we no longer got it. Of course Body.Paint and Stamping it wouldn't matter to them due to the schedule they are on.

I was told the order bank isn't large enough to support another crew. Ford is aiming for final C crew to start 2016. However, if order bank stays the same OT is out.. 40hrs may be out and eventually possible down weeks like in the past.

With current fuel prices and upcoming model changes with the aluminum body panels...less than 40 hours is a fairytale..we will be living in the plant for a good long while.

I'm ready to go back to 5 8 hr days..And I'm in body..10.7 blows..I think.3 days off is great but traffic sucks on A and B crew, and Friday traffic is a real bitch.Dont think I wanna deal with that everyday just to be on days..But I feel for all the people working 5 10 hour days. That has to be hard on a person.

I did hear that the f150 and bronco MAY be coming here and then change the name from Kentucky Truck Plant to North American Truck Plant..Of course it was a rumor, but with all the expansion and the way they love bringing in other plants to KTP It wouldn't surprise me if it were true..I'm sure they would bring ALL their senior people too..

That one's been around as long as the Econoline is coming from Ohio. Bronco is dead, f150 has two plants already. KC has diesel for the transit.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard/been asked about a new Bronco. Better chance of a new Maverick coming out than a full size two door suv.

The small truck market sure is picking up steam with the new Colorado out now. Just saying, Ranger/ F100. The possibilities are unlimited, but with the Boom that we have going on at our plant something is definitely in the works and what ever it is, it's going to be BIG. We have almost doubled the size of our plant. I know one of the owners of the construction company and Ford already wants to make the new stacker even bigger. As far as the F150 rumor Ford will never stop building the F150 in Dearborn but they are limited with how much production they can build because of the way the plant was built, although the Rouge facility that the plant sits on is huge. Now KC on the other hand has the new van and sales are really picking up and the potential for them to lose F150 production is definitely a possibility. Realistically if they change the platform of the Expedition and put a diesel in sales could pick up quite a bit and they could add a vehicle to the expedition line.

The 3 crew schedule for the front end of the plant has always been the 3rd or 4th quarter of 15. The new paint dept and body shop should be active by the spring/early summer of 15, producing ppu's and such. They need to run both for cycle tests, training and to produce pre-production and engineering units. Unlike previous model launches were blocks of units could be run on the same line, this new one requires ALL new tooling in body, hence the reason the new body shop needs to be up and running long before the actual launch. To meet demand and have the extra production capabilities for ppu's the front end (chassis, frame, trim etc.) will need to run 3 crews to support 2 body shops and 2 paint depts to kick those units out. Dearborn switched over to the new 150 while KC continues to build the old 150. We will follow that model, but we will just do it at ONE plant. KTP WILL have 2 body and 2 paint shops running AFTER the LAUNCH of the new SD. Once production ramps up on the new Super Duty our plant will have the capacity to run almost 500,000 units a year. (Good Luck Trim)

Which goes back to the heart of my original question: At what point do I lose my OT? Because its all about me.... Two things I will address here. 1: Your orignal post was about when Final will go to three crews. That is still kind of up in the air because they do not know for sure when it will go into three crews ie....3rd or 4th quarter of 2015 or the 1st quarter of 2016. 2: When will you lose OT came a little later in this thread but it might have been your orignal thought when you posted the thread. Either way your question will be answered when Final goes to three crews. As for OT, when you go 10.7 you get OT for the .7 part and any Saturday night or Sunday dayshift production times that come up. OT after 8 hours was answered at the contract meeting in the last contract and we were supposed to get it back but somehow it disappeared after the contract passed. Once we go to three crews in Final, there will be NO OT AFTER 8hrs anyways. For losing your OT, that will happen when Final goes to three crews when ever that may be. I know I repeated it but the more I say it the faster you may get your answer.

If your on A or B shift the most OT you'll see without working a Super Saturday or Sunday would be 2.8 hours a week. 10.7 hours a day on 4 days.

I haven't worked in production for a few years. I know a weld inspector who does every week. Lots of guys in stock working RDO. And as long as there are LTS employees in the plant, RDO is supposed to be available to reg production employees
