That's true about which schedule to choose. But I think a lot of people stay out front because they can't hold days in BS or Paint.May 1995 right now and it keeps creeping up. This is true Final is now going to be going 10.7 x 5 days How long has it been since we had an actual contract v/s a written list of suggestions? Final can only go 10 max on a 5 day schedule if not in "launch" mode.

Like someone already stated, why not get something in return? Anything... Hell, bring in the gatorade machines, better yet, open the contract since you're changing our work schedule and give us COLA.

These jerkoffs are the worlds worst negotiatiors, would love to sell a used car to any of them. Gona make us do 11 hours when 2 days a week we shut down for break, bring us some people so we can relieve those 2 days, hell thats 2 extra hours of production a week right there. These guys have no idea what is going on in these departments on a daily basis yet they are negotiating work rules for us. God help us come september.

In the latest update from our supreme rulers. They are getting us four holidays and two Sundays. Like that's a plus? We need to make an additional 25000 units. This extra production doesn't come close to fulfilling it. So...... Mandatory Saturdays in the summer. This kind of company ass kissing should not take place in a contract year.

Anyway they can.Puppets is all we have.Hell we shouldn't agree to anything right now'!!!Sept is right around the corner and I'll bet the Co is more prepared for the TALKS than our UAW..I'm still hoping that they show us that they're in our corner but I have my doubts that I'll be a believer after sept rolls around..Still don't get the 11 hour shit ..Leave at 5am and get home at 630 pm ,That really cuts into the family life .But after all these years I think my wife knows the kinda of people we work for..Assholes!!!

What you talking about? This IS home. That other place is just a fond memory. Ever wonder why so many old guys back in the day wouldn't go ahead and retire? It was because this place was all they knew. The only friends they still had where under this roof, and their wives where strangers to them.......

They got us a parking lot and lockers and holidays away from our families. Insight to our future negotiations, bend over fellas! Union is so far out of touch it's a joke. No wonder they are sweating right to work.

Ok lets say they were going to send the chassis cab to Ohio. That would go against everything they are doing here at KTP. I work in the body shop. It seems to me that Ford wants raw metal going to stamping then to Body. Putting body parts into racks takes a risk of damage to the part when you have to ship it. The further you have to ship it the more risk. Look where the new body shop is. Right next to stamping. Hoods, fenders, front doors, corners and who knows what else are only built at KTP! That means they would have to ship those body parts in racks to Ohio from KTP with the risk of damage. When they have spent all this money to eliminate that risk of damage. In the letter I saw it was 40 to 50 per year, must have been a typo.40k to 50k a year I get. Why would Ford risk the damage to those parts for that low a number? Why did our union not ask these questions? Last contract KTP had the power to vote the contract down. Unfortunately we did not. Why did our local give this to the company and we got nothing in return? I said in the letter I saw, was not a letter at all but a email. I really loved the fourth line. "In other good news" Hey scott I'm still waiting for any "good news".

When I think about the line speed increase, no raises for years, longer hours, lost break time, lost holidays, etc. etc......I just hoped and prayed, HOPED AND PRAYED that it would all be made worthwhile with a new parkling lot and some lockers. Gatorade, Band Saws and Parking Lots ought to be our new motto.

We are in the minority here, yes us the ones that come on this site to bitch, moan and groan. Of course other's in the plant do the same as us but for some reason or another they can't bear to bring themselves to openly use their voice to get the message out to the supreme leader's. We are doomed.
Here is what's going to happen this year, we will argue to the point in their face while they try to sell us a package from the contract low lites as the best they can do. They will hold informal meeting's to tell us the same thing but only read from the low lite catalog and not really answer any real questions (past pratice). They will even be willing to bring old Jimmy Settles again to tell us they will lock us out and hire scabs if we vote it down and of course the sheeple will panic because they live paycheck to paycheck.
In the end, we will pass the contract with no raise in it, maybe even losing more money just to bring up the 2nd teir pay closer to ours. Our pension may be under attack as well as our health care. Then the flock will be out on the floor to tell us how great this leadership is and just like the fools they think we are, most will agree.
Yes, we are a minority on this site, we need to get the word out to the vast majority of this plant but I feel it will all fall on deaf ears. Once Scott Eskridge goes to international, may God help us all.

However, our stamping plant doesn't just stamp our parts. They ship parts all over the place. Stamped parts come to our plant too. This is already being done, always has been. Parts don't get damaged in any kind of numbers at all.

We need to change that, 2 terms and back out here with the rest of us, then i believe folks who are in there would work for US, not their fear of having to work again.

11.5 schedule last couple of weeks in most areas at LAP.We've seem to have been on a"rotating"launch for about 3 years now. Where do u work at LAP that's doing 11.5. They have actually cut us since the new yearto 10.0 almost every day been less a few times. Supervisors not allowed to keep anybody over for any reason. They raised our linespeed & now they don't need any overtime

yes I knew they did on b crew because of us running out of parts tuesday, normally we would sit & wait on the parts, they came in around 4. Before the new year all I heard was we cant build enough to satisfy demand & now all of a sudden its 10 hours unless something like that happens, just cant believe the linespeed increase filled all that demand, just wondering whats really going on as supervisors were keeping utilities etc after shift for things, now they say they are not allowed to.
