I'm embarrassed that I don't know this, but I don't awol.....
If you have one awol on your record, and one only.....you can cover your NEXT awol (#2) with personal time right?
They don't let you use personal time if you've been written up, but you can use it if you already have one, correct?
I'm a moron, forgive me.

Yes, as long as you have personal time to burn, you can use it to cover the awol. Provided it's not a historically high volume awol day, Oaks, derby, etc

You must be awoling more than you say because you get 4 or 5(where you work)before you actually get 1 on your record if you use your personal time.

As long as u have no more than 2 awols u can cover an AWOL with personal time. If u have three u can't. But not on oaks, or a couple other specific days I can't remember, or if so many AWOL that day that the plant can't run. So....... If u have one AWOL u can just let ur next one stay an AWOL and keep ur time. Take into consideration when the AWOL u already have falls off. Hope this helps

Actually you can use personal up to the 5th one. At least I have. U r saying u covered an AWOL with personal time and had 5 awols on ur record? Of course u can use personal time to cover 5 absences. But not if u already have 3 or more AWOL on ur record

To the OP. A better option would be to ask ur MPS to split one of ur vac days . They can do that. That way u save ur time. Like if ur off a week and gonna AWOL the Friday b4 ask him to put 4 hours on Friday and 4 on Monday. It's worth a shot, all they can do is say no
