Why do UAW employees work thru lunch during a contract year?We run 70 or more per hour in BS,so when they work thru lunch the Co is getting 35 more units that day.Which could add up to 140 more jobs per shift that week..You know it's gonna bite us in the ass..From now until Sept they could possibly make 6720 more jobs than if you didn't work thru lunch..Is it really worth it???Do people really need 15 more dollars a day?The funny thing is the new low tiers turn it down it's the older people running their ass off for the Co..I don't get it..

The company and union agreed to take away some of our break time, but we had a "handshake agreement" to get it back.
Maybe if we help the company at every opportunity, like working through break, we can get some of what we lost back.

I'm not sure whether your serious or joking..We won't ever get our minute back..I was thinking more on the lines of them seeing people work thru their breaks and thinking hell they don't even need a break lets take another minute from them..

I'm serious.
Look, we've been going backwards for a decade now.
It's simply because we're not sucking enough ass.

We had our shot of getting our minute back when our "leaders" negotiated an 11 hr work day for us. Should have been "yes, we agree to an 11 hr workday if you agree to give 6 minute breaks per hour language" instead we got a parking lot....of course that parking lot is not available yet...lol. Worlds Worst Negotiators

Worlds Worst Negotiators I love how we have to negotiate for them to fix their parking lots and bathrooms. That's their property and their responsibility. Yet, we give up shit so that they will retile a bathroom... Smh

We've got new hires on nights REFUSING to take their break. You know, the negotiated contractual break. The response of at least one committeeperson? "We can't make them take break"........... Our reps just stand there and watch new guys carry stuff that they have a hoist for and let them "refuse" break........ So why do we keep going backwards? ? I shit you not.

I believe you..We have OLD GUYS carrying parts instead of using the hoist cause it's faster????I don't care if there's a hoist I use it..And in body you know it's high seniority..I still watch as some of my team members run their asses of to get 70 an hour and then management calls 11hours.Heres my thinking why run to get a number when you already know your staying 11??Nuts if u ask me..
