Someone just told me that chassi cabs are already gone, is that true? I thought they we're still here and that's why we're doing 11 hrs so they could keep them here. If they are, does that mean the 11 hr deal is over and no more 11's? Has anyone heard this?

No they are NOT gone. Still running them in body shop. But please go ahead and move them and stick this 11 hour crap up the bargaining committee's collective ass. Unions fought for decades for the 8 hour work day and these sellouts pissed it all away.

Same stuff going on at LAP. C crew is scheduled 11hrs on 2 of their 4 days per week and everyone is scheduled for 10.7 the rest of the time. Mandatory weekends got moved from 10 hrs to 10.5 for A and B crew. All because they say we will lose Escape overflow or lose the Lincoln if we don't. At this point the union won't say no to anything.

A union that is also a shareholder should not be representing the hourly workforce

Regarding LAP, one of the handouts said that the union talked the company into running C crew 11 hrs instead of starting a tag relief. Why is the union against tag relief especially since this would create more jobs/hiring?

The company does what it wants, the union just makes up reasons why they let them do it

The company only wanted to do tag relief on one shift which was B crew. Unions said no because they say it's not fair to only tag one shift. Yet they do tag in certain areas on all shifts. If it's not fair to only tag certain shifts as they choose then why is it ok to tag just certain departments? They don't understand that people don't want to work more than 10 hrs a day. That's enough for any persons body to take. Plus it amounts to very little in the amount of overtime money, yet it eats up another 45-60 min of your already short day you have after work. I'd rather work five 10s than 4 10.7. It may be more work and another day added to my schedule but at least I would be making real money to justify it.

I have no idea if the chassis cabs will leave or stay. I am 99.99999999999% sure that 11hrs is here to stay though. When have you ever seen this local give up something in promise of a return, and get it?
Now I know Todd Dunn doesn't want any disparaging remarks made on social media about the plant, and coworkers, but the truth is the truth.
The only thing I would bet money on with this next contract, is that the IUAW gets their raises again. You and me? We're screwed

Don't think anybody said all chassis cab production was leaving. But yes some of the chassis cab production will be built at OHAP to replace the soon to be defunct Econoline chassis cab.

If it means we go to 5x8 hr days or 4x10 hr days give it to them ,plus the next step would be letting them come here and work...Already been down that road..1,2,3 plants or more..Stay in your own state or own plant (LAP ) if it's not closed for good!!!!

I voted have of them in, before castration was administered and tried twice to remove them. But some, not all, has their teeth dug in tight and won't release, you know like a tick. Plus some canter to just trim and chassi where the bigger growds are so they have a firm backing. Except Ice.

I'm with you metalman. I'm grateful for the things I have because of ford but I refuse to go backward. If you don't fight for it, it WILL NOT COME, therefor I don't give in and let them do what ever they want. If the middle class did that 80 years ago we would still be making 3.50 an hour.
