I hear we will be receiving a signing bonus once the new contract comes through. Is this true and how much should we expect to see? Will all Of us get it, including LTS guys?

No one knows anything the contract is going to offer. Everything you hear and people say right now is nothing but full blown speculation.

I don't think LTS's will get anything. They're technically "temps" and can't vote on the contract. Or am I dreaming the whole thing.

It may have changed, but I thought as long as you are a dues paying member, temp or lts as they are called now have the right to vote on a contract.

I was in Chicago, we had about 1,000 Lts employees at contract time. They voted and received signing bonus.

So the company can offer a big signing bonus, LTS's will vote for it, yet dick us on raises/bennies/pension and a bad contract will barely pass...........I'm SHOCKED, SHOCKED!!!!!!

Cmon man, plenty of legacy people are paycheck to paycheck, financed to the eyeballs and vote for signing bonuses every 4 years. Always have.

If all legacy workers vote no they (let's,tier 1)can't sway the vote !Theres not enough of them YET!!Better get ours now because in 4 more yrs we prolly will be out numbered..

The legacy members still out number the Tier 2 workers currently. But how many legacy members actually vote as compared to the number of tier 2 workers who will vote could be very different. We always have a less than 50% vote. Most of the time it far less! Tier 2 could make a big swing in things if 50% of the legacy members do not vote as usual.

Exactly that's why all legacy workers need to show up..
