Does anyone remember when in 2011, after contract was ratified we received our signing bonus? I'm having a small debate with a co worker...I say it was middle to end of October, they say middle of November? Any idea??

Hopefully we get a huge raise . If so we won't get much if any signing bonus

Someone from union hall over at LAP told a coworker there are no talks of a signing bonus this time. Guess we will see.

I've never not received a signing bonus in the 20yrs I've been here ,but I'm sure it's a possibility ?Theyll prolly give us our profit sharing (1/2) early. Then it looks like you gained something but when March gets here your like "fuck me" that's it?

Do the math, 3% raise would be .85hr or 1784yr on a 40hr work week. Take away a 6000 sign on bonus, Ford doesn't really loose anything. Seems like we getting something, but really getting nothing. No raise, no sign bonus is still a no vote

I have a valid question!..........Can the bargainers do math? I know they can drink beer but can they do math?

I'd be fine with no raise if the profit sharing formula was at least doubled. Ford wouldn't be on hook for higher cost, but when they make money, we make money. The formula now is a joke. My father made more on profit sharing in 1984 and still has the check stub to prove it.

Only way to go is hourly wage hikes. Can't take that away and when they don't make profit we still get it.

I agree raises are better over the long term. Just seems like company has their heels dug in on the issue of being obligated to raised costs. So in return I could deal with no raise, but when the company makes profit I want a much bigger part of it to offset the years when times may not be as good. I think they paid out less than $400 million on $7 billion in profits. It should be 2-3 times that.

I hope our negociators don't think small. Swing for center field. If you think small you get small. It's up to the company to stay competitive. The unions job is to worry about us. Not the company.

Trust me ..The union is more on the Co.s side than ours..Because they'll get theirs under the table...Look at how our IUAW leaders have been talking to the media?I bet we don't get shit back and I estimate a .60 cent raise and bonuses the rest of the contract..Unless we have to pay for healthcare then we'll get more but insurance will eat it up so you gain nothing..Hope I'm wrong though .

It's not passing without a raise and a big bonus.
