There's a good opinion piece in the Courier Journal today, it's from the Los Angeles Times.
In my opinion a middle ground candidate would be a huge step forward in American politics.

Maybe, but they'll have to come from one of the 2 Major parties. Third parties just screw things up. A strong Libertarian Party candidate means a win for the Dems, just as a strong Green Party candidate means the Republicans will certainly win. They just take away voters from whatever side of the aisle they are on.
Is there such a thing as a Centrist? I don't see one getting much support. Sounds good though
