Does this mean I should start packing and get ready to be transferred again. Out with the old, in with the new. AKA: getting rid off seniority workers, who have actually read the contract books and understand UAW bylaws so I don't get FUCKED over by this union. Ford wants new, lower paid & not knowledgeable "yes Sir" employees who will work harder not smarter. In case you all don't know it's: smarter not harder. If you thought 80 an hour is ok, wait till they crank it up to 100 an hour. Do you really think this Union out here cares? NOPE. Educate your self!

U already have to many yes people here now. People that start work before the line starts. If u can't do ur job in the alloted u have, then the job needs to be redone. As long as they can get u to work for free, Ford is happy.

I agree, I've been deterring ppl for years.
I had a young couple come to me begging to get him on... I tried to talk them out of it... They said it was worth the risk of getting divorced... They're divorced.
It's not about money. Most at Ford don't realize that because all we know is working long hours and too many hours in a year to make money.
As long as you're working for someone, you haven't made it. Learn a trade, do anything to stay out of a factory.

I don't know about others... But of the 20 or so houses in my hood, only 2 of us work at Ford... All the others live very similar existences without the lucrative job at Ford... lol

According to the bureau of labor stats the AVERAGE American worker makes 25.49...So it doesn't seem that hard to make 20$ an hour..Just saying... |

Personally I told my son I'd never get him on at ford. He actually has two B.S. Degrees one from one of the best colleges in the nation, one from U.L. Is 25 and can out earn me in a given week if he wants to and he's at the low entry starting scale on his job. There's so much more than ford. If I hadn't started doing drugs in middle school Ida done way better too. Machy, y r u such an under achiever? |
