Heard a rumor today that 10 legacies were replaced by temps on jobs?They had combined jobs and old guys were fighting them,So CO removed legacies and put temps on jobs and said DO THEM!Heard UAW signed off on it and now 10 people (lowest seniority)will be moved to plant wide available work?Anyone know the facts on this?

Per union rep But the part you’re missing is the older guys were replaced on a job that was overloaded.Meaning eventually the temps will be gone and a person like you or I will get stuck on an overloaded job.Not right. |

There is a lesson in this. Do not fear to fight added work. If push comes to shove you will be taken off the job and placed elsewhere. I've never heard of an hourly employee being terminated over a job standards dispute.
You can't squeeze water out of a rock. If a job cannot be done it will not be done regardless of who they assign to the operation.

Happened in trim to my sons team. Have temps on jobs and won’t roll them. Next thing you know they add 2-3 things to the job and then temp gets rolled, legacy stuck with shit job.

The ENTIRE situation with temps is out of hand and the number one thing that needs to change in contract.
Temps on day shift bid jobs for almost 2 years.
Putting temps on jobs to add work.
Its NUTS, and it has to change.

I can’t beleive Alan Hughes got a single vote after he went around begging people to vote to give the company more concessions (which was voted down thankfully) only to have them turn around the next week and announce near record profits.

One things for sure. Ford is making an astounding profit margin off B crew. With all the temps and our low paid labor mixed in with the higher truck count than a + c (which is horse shit). Ford is loving this place right now and the union is too. They are Fords bitch right now.

Don’t bother coming to day shift SUV paint! 2 old biddies on one of the sealer teams rat everyone out to supervisors via text/phone or in person. Suck ups to the max! When someone messes up (job wise) they report to the big guy and sit and take pleasure watching for it all to go down.
