My daughter will graduate college in May, how long can (will) she be covered on our insurance? When she gets a job, it could be 6 months before she would have insuance coverage.

Unfortunately, when she turns 19, she'll need to find some health insurance. Regardless of whether she's going to school or not. UPS is a great place for college motivated kids to work. They have health insurance, late hours, (keeps em outta trouble) and UPS help's them pay for their school.

Reliefman, you are wrong about the Insurance. Give Jim Fisher or John Klefot a call in the benefits dept. As long as she is a full time student 5 months out of the year and resides the with her parents she can be covered. Or if there is a Court order she can be covered also. Jim 969/9136 or John 241/9491 Benefitd reps numbers

I hope I am wrong...
Kids don't need anything else slowing them down when they're going to school. We went through the fine lines a few years ago, and the insurance wasn't there. Hopefully it's changed.

Yep,,, Reliefman you are NOT correct.... a dependent can stay on your insurance over the the age of 19, if they are enrolled as a full time student for at least 5 months of the calender year. Midnight shift please call us at either 969-3286 (myself at fern valley) or Johnny and Adam at 241-9491, We can explain.... The rules changed 1/1/2009.

Nothing as of yet... but beginning March 1st... You won't have to have to go through a bunch of Red Tape when your doctor wants you take "Name Brand Only" The doctor will just have to write it on the script... Some drugs will require prior authorizations and step therapy before taking... Does not mean you have to get on a tread mill... But have to try other medications before taking... If you are on one of the meds that require authorizations, you should get a letter in the mail... There are also few drugs that will not be covered any longer i.e. Chantax and Testosterone.
The above applies to the active only,,,,, Retirees is another story... (Too much to type in a post).
