If we choose not to go will we loose are unemployment? thanks again herb Legally that is correct. If Ford reports that you were offered a job and refused and you keep drawing UI, they will suspend your benefits and the minimum time I have seen for anyone with fraud is 26 weeks no matter what. The kicker is, you have to pay it all back also. Herb BC

herb can steve post ktp seniority list on uaw site We might be able to just post seniority dates and nothing else. We have had several concerns about either names or classificiations being posted on the world wide web and identity theft. See what we can do. Herb BC

Plant Info...
Announcing our product officially.. We have heard that they will announce it some time this summer.
As of right now, no specific plans have been chosen as to what LAP is going to look like. They have submitted several and everyone is putting alot of time in everything.
Uniforms... Uniforms are supposed to arrive at the plant sometime in February

Remember where the source is coming from. Chicago may get the explorer dies, but they will be getting our new dies and parts to stamp out. KTP stamping facility will be heavily utilized. Kill the rumor. Herb BC

Decline and roll to KTP, if you have the seniority on someone currently working. Then the KTP person will have only two decisions above.
Does this apply to anybody working at KTP or just the ones that chose to go from LAP?

Everyone at KTP will have a chance to sign up to go to Chicago when they are taking volunteer sign-ups. To be forced you have to be laid-off. Herb BC

Thanks, but that doesn't really answer my question. You state that we can decline and roll to KTP, if we have seniority on someone at KTP. What I want to know is, can we only roll the LAP people that went to KTP or can we roll anybody that is working at KTP?

BIG Question BIDS...BIDs...BIDS
Your committee has sat down and had several discussion on the issue and made sure everyone is on the same page and should be saying the same thing.
First of all I am going to try and have everyone grasp what is going to transpire over the next year or so. We have about 800 LAP transfers out at KTP, they all have recall rights, we have 263 laid-off. We have to recall both the ILO and the LAP(at KTP) after we put them on one big seniority list. How many are going to transfer from Kansas City to LAP. If KTP has an excess of employees around that time, KTP employees will have an opportunity to sign up by senioirty to transfer to LAP. Then we will need to have a posting for anyone in the Ford system to come down. This is going to be crazy and alot of meetings.
First, we will bid any jobs that we need to bid in order to be able to start up come April or May most likely before we leave for break.
There are alot of people that have recall rights to just about every job in the plant. Once management gets the final numbers we will have to sit down and see where we will need to bid jobs or not.
Second, No one from KTP will be able to bid on any jobs until they have signed there return to basic unit form, and they have been given a return date to LAP. On their return date and after, they will be able to bid and not until then.

Herb, I am currently enrolled at Brown Mackie & won't be graduating until 2011. How would this work in regards to being forced to go to Chicago? I would be talking to the college and see if they have a campus in Chicago or northern IN, there is no hardship. You can turn it down and wait till we retool and come back to LAP, but benefits will be cut. Herb BC
