Well here we are. March 1st and dont know a thing. There are so many questions and no one with answers. I am on ILO and have no idea where I may end up in 3 months. Will I be A) in Chicago B) at KTP C) at LAP D) at a new job with no ties to Ford??? Here are my questions. Does anyone know if a transfer to KTP is possible for the ILO's that have more seniority than employees at KTP? Last I heard there was about 70 of us that had seniority on KTP people and that we would be able to bump them, leaving them to make the choice to go to Chicago or not. At the last union meeting LAP says yes, while KTP says no. In fact, KTP's building chairmen sent a notice telling the current employees that they were safe from any transfer push. The next day the good ole boys at LAP say that is wrong. Any new knowledge on this subject? This is good info to have before the robocall? When is that, like 2 weeks? On another note, This money thing just seems like the biggest bullcrap in history. 5,000 to go up and 30,000 to come home in 16 months? I just cant come to terms with that. (the sad part is I cant trust anyone that tells me its true). OK, lets say thats true just for sh#&s and giggles. That makes this "following your product" deal a whole new ball of wax. Out of 1000 people you are gonna have some people bite with that type of cash dangling in front of them. Maybe not alot but definately enough to interrupt the flow at LAP. Lets say 60-70 out of 1000(and thats probably underestimating the #) go for it. Who will replace them? ILO's that didnt voluntarily transfer to Chicago? Is there anyway they could screw ILO's even harder and get temps? Dont laugh Im serious. With the last explorer being built in November, doesnt that seem like alot of strategic hustle & bustle with your workforce with less than 6 months to go? And plus youve now got to put those ILO's back on your books throughout the retool. They want us off the books people!!! And they are so close with benefits declining and expiring shortly. My particular situation I would prefer just to stay in Louisville (KTP or LAP) and be with my family rather than chase the money. But if I must go to Chicago, then that may be what I have to do to support my family. So it is Monday, March 1st, and Im asking our ELECTED union officials to please find out the information that we so desperately need BEFORE this Robocall occurs.

Ford may take sign ups to transfer to Chicago, which should open a few opportunities for us on ILO but I don't look for Ford to take the next step and ask ILOs to go to Chicago or loose benefits, which would be the opportunity to bump a lesser senior worker at KTP. It is hard to make life changing decisions when you cant get straight information.

So, let me get this straight: A guy on layoff from LAP has more time then somebody @ KTP but can't bump the guy from KTP until he is forced to go to Chicago? What happens if the guy on layoff runs out of sub and tap?

What a convoluted mess! It's a wonder that anyone knows anything about something at all. You may be better off joining Dorothy in the Kansas twister. At least you would know where you would end up ;D

you guys amaze me, can you see how close you could be to being the ones unemployed! a catastrophe of any kind could bring it on. For some it is not as simple as move to Chicago to have a job. Spouses have jobs/business/careers, kids in school. involves many lives,
