• Gas Smell: The gas smell yesterday came from outside the plant at the dump.
The dock doors where opened, it blew out of Chassis and through the Trim area
and we opened additional dock doors and the smell dissipated from there. Your
Committee, and maintenance were on the floor investigating the smell
immediately.
• Employee Involvement: The 50-50 Drawing $250, was won by Rendell Armes, #81.
Community Service Committee : Anyone interested in being on LAP’s Community
Service Committee please contact Ralph Napier 3674 or email rnapier@ford.com.
• Chicago Info: We have 35 ILO going to CAP on June 7, and an additional 10
ILO going June 14; this is all the info we have on transfer dates thus far. We
have a meeting planned for the ILO’s that are interested in attending and have
any final questions. The Bargaining Committee will be at the LAP Hall, May 25,
directly after work (4:30pm) until your questions have been answered.
• Contract Books: Local Contract books are in. See your committeeperson or
come to the union office.
• Restrooms: If you have any issues with restrooms in your area, please
contact your supervisor and committee person. We have had a few incidents in
some areas that restrooms needed immediate attention. These are our restrooms,
lets try to keep them as clean as possible.
• Uniform Pick-up: Anyone that did not pick up your uniforms can do so by
going to Labor Relations and seeing Jan Stieff. All back-orders are not in, we
will let everyone know when they arrive.
• Eddie Bauer Discount: Eddie Bauer is giving all UAW/Ford friends and family
a 30% discount on all merchandise. In stores use code 4101; online go to

• Next UAW Holiday: May 31, Memorial Day, Please remember the men and woman
that have given their lives for what we are able to have. The official time of
remembrance will be 3pm, for one minute.
• Vacation/Personal Days: All June eligible employees should have scheduled
all their remaining time, with the exception of 2 personals, if they choose to
be paid for them. Our vacation down weeks are July 5th and Aug. 17, 2010. The
July 4th holiday will be converted to a personal day or paid out when time comes
to convert.

web page as we receive it. You must log in first to access website: The UAW
website is still your best spot for information if you are at home, TLO or ILO.
• Labor Relations Info: Labor Relations hours are 5:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru
Thursday. Contact numbers are 3647 and 3642.
• Payroll Question: If anyone has questions about their paycheck, tax changes
or W2s can now email hpay@ford.com . If anyone has questions about deductions or
withholdings can email pdeducts@ford.com .
• Cafeteria: The cafeteria is asking for suggestions to improve the lunch
meals and accepting new ideas to increase their business. If the cafeteria does
not see significant increase in lunch business, we could possibly loose this
additional benefit. There are only 3 plants with some sort of cafeteria
operations still working.
• Parking Lot: There have been several unauthorized non-Ford Brand vehicles
parking outside the designated areas on both sides of the plant. Some vehicles
have been tagged twice, and license plate numbers recorded. If you know of any
violations please call 3664 and report. Security has been authorized to TOW
vehicles that are not complying, at owners expense to recover. Call Suburban
Towing at 964-6500, avg. cost $65.00.
• Emergency Weather Hotline Info : Radio 97.5 WAMZ FM, WXXA 790 AM, Television
Wave 3 and a Ford Hotline number 1-800-603-3673, Press 1 for Manufacturing,

• Rumor Facts: There are a few Fridays in Sept. that are stock protected but
not scheduled at this time. LAP Explorer last day is still Nov. 23. Sport Trac
