Weekly Update May 27, 2010
Order Bank: Explorer 3,159, Mountaineer 228, Sport Trac 479, Total 4,866
Password Reset: If anyone has not logged on inside the plant since the
last time we changed passwords; they will need to do so very soon. Your
password is only good for 90 days, therefore it is about to expire and you
will need to log on and change your password. This can only been done from
inside the plant currently.
Walkers around Plant: When walking around the facility please be very
cautious, truck traffic, forks and plant vehicles have the right-a-way. All
outside areas around the plant are redline areas. Health and Safety are
going to look into a walking route with markings somewhere safe.
Education Fair: We are currently working on setting up an Education Fair
some time soon. If anyone has any colleges, trades or personnel that they
would like to see come to the plant, please contact Ralph Napier,
364-3674.
NASCAR Race: Next Wednesday will be the last day to purchase tickets for
the NASCAR Meijer 300 at the KY Speedway. Tickets are dollars, with
dollars going to JDRF. Please see your committeeperson or call Ralph at
3674.
Uniform Pick-up: Anyone that did not pick up your uniforms can do so by
going to Labor Relations and seeing Jan Stieff. All back-orders are not in,
we will let everyone know when they arrive. If you were on medical and was
not able to order uniforms , please call Ralph 3674, we are trying to work
with the vendor to place an order, no guarantees.
Uniform Issues: We have gotten several complaints about seams coming
apart, severe shrinkage and patches tearing away from shirts. If you have
any problems with your uniforms, besides gaining to much weight and they
don’t fit, please call Ralph at 3674.
Pay Stubs: Now that most everyone has direct deposit and don’t see their
checks till later in the day or at all. Please look at your check stubs
online and make sure your deductions are correct, dependent audits have
resulted in hundreds of dollars being deducted and some are just finding
out.
UAW Holiday: This Monday, May 31, is Memorial Day. To be paid for the
holiday, you must report for work Tuesday or have a planned day off. Please
remember the men and woman that have given their lives for what we are able
to have. The official time of remembrance will be 3pm, for one minute.
Vacation/Personal Days: All June eligible employees should have scheduled
all their remaining time, with the exception of 2 personals, if they choose
to be paid for them. Our vacation down weeks are July 5th and Aug. 9, 2010.
The July 4th holiday will be converted to a personal day or paid out when
time comes to convert.

The UAW website is still your best spot for information if you are at
home, TLO or ILO.
Labor Relations Info: Labor Relations hours are 5:30am to 5:00pm Monday
thru Thursday. Contact numbers are 3647 and 3642. Medical is open from 6am
to 4:30pm, Monday thru Thursday.
Parking Lot: There have been several unauthorized non-Ford Brand vehicles
parking outside the designated areas on both sides of the plant. If you
know of any violations please call 3664 and report. Security has been
authorized by Ford to TOW vehicles that are not complying, at owners
expense to recover. Call Suburban Towing at 964-6500, avg. cost .00.
Personal Lockers: The company is going to start inventorying everything on
each and every line, racks, lockers, fans, tables, hoses, etc. If you have
a personal cabinet make sure your name is on it. As we get closer to the
balance out all your personal items need to be taken home. The plant is
going to load all essential equipment on trucks and store them.
Rumor Facts: Update – We currently have 4 Fridays and 2 Saturdays stock
protected in October, they have not been officially scheduled production
days, but be prepared. LAP Explorer last day is still Nov. 23. Sport Trac
will be balancing out at the end of October.
