Looks great with lots of new features and better fuel economy and so on...but what buyer are they appealing to? Won't this vehicle take sales from the Edge and Freestyle? I see it hurting both of those models the way the Escape killed off the 2 door Explorer.

I have to agree Scott. Also my point on another post about putting bigger more powerful motors in the F-150, hurting SuperDuty sales. Who knows what the American public will buy though.

I think the new Explorer looks just like the Edge. I honestly thought it was a misprint on the FaceBook page. Either way I hope Ford sells a ton of them.

There will be no more Freestyle. The Explorer will replace that vehicle. The Explorer will have a 5000 pound tow rating and other tow features that the Edge does not have. The Flex is the vehicle that is barely hanging on.

That's actually the one I meant Todd...the Flex. I assume the new Explorer will replace the Flex and Taurus X while also taking sales from the Edge.
