Looks like the working April 30th maybe more true than the off derby week rumor.

Scott, didn't you say: "If I remember correctly...the order bank is no longer 'units ordered' as it was in the 90's...it is now a projected number...as price of gas goes up and down, so do their projections. We may actually only have 18,000 super duty orders right now...but they predict many more...just for an example." So gas hits $3.67+ and Ford projects 5000 unit increase in F series?? The increase couldn't be due to the fact we were down and not producing/shipping anything? Anybody have a copy of that "apple analogy"? U units built/shipped per week vary from 1200 to 1500. What was our order bank increase? 1358. P units per week vary from 4800 to 5000. What was our order bank increase? 4963. Are these numbers a coincidence? Ok, I give up...wow..the order bank (order projection) sure is getting big!!

Almost certain that is how it is now...you can never figure anything out with this company. If it makes sense, they wouldn't do it. If gas gets higher, watch that "projected number" drop by the tens of thousands.

These are 2 different things here, sales projections and actual orders. The order bank shows actual orders, either unscheduled or scheduled, scheduled meaning it is actually being built here in the factory. Sales projections are based on marketing, including lots of past sales data and trends, along with real world factors such as gas prices. The order bank showed an increase of approximatly what a weeks worth of production is here at the plant....thus the apple tree hasn't been picked.

They label day shift as #2, night shift as #3...body/paint/stamping run 3 crews...#1, #2, and #3...that's why there's confusion.
