Give me the speaker wattage per speaker cabinet, and I'll give you the amperage you need. From there you select your amp brand, and I can do a little math on how many watts you can send through safely. Real fine tuning would require an EQ also. Step one is finding an amp and setting it to match your max input of watts to the speakers. We can set up a daisy chain on the second set of speakers, but whichever set has the lower wattage abilities will limit the output of the stronger set of speakers.

400 watts on the single 15 inch cabinet and 1500 on the duel 15 inch speaker cabinet. Not sure what a daisy chain is.

OK, the weakest link is the lowest amperage rated "speaker". So if I follow your inventory correctly, you have a pair of 400W, and a pair of 1500W, and some powered subs is that right? Daisy chain is where you have the signal coming from the amp, and if there is an "outbound" jack on that speaker you would send that signal to the next speaker. With this new info you won't be doing that. The 400w speakers with the 1400's side by side is like comparing a bb-gun to a shotgun. The signal to the subs must be unpowered, or you'll cook em, I am also assuming that the powered subs are in the 1000w per range? So if this is the case & money is an object, I'd sell the 400W speakers, buy a 3000Watt amp (like this www.cheapdjgear.us/Gemini_XP_3000_Professional_3000W_Amplifier_p/xp-3000.htm )to drive the 1400w speakers. Don't be afraid of the wattage, the 3000 refers to a term called "bridged", which is not true stereo. It is used for live shows where that stereo sound isn't so important. We'll be splitting that signal down to 1500w per channel, and adjusting the amperage rating below the 1400w limit. I would also reccomend that you get a small mixer (like this pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Nady-SRM10X-10Input-Mixer?sku=630425 )with at least 4 outbound channels. From the out bound on the mixer your "mains" would send the signal (left and right) to the amp, and then on to the Speakers, and the "sub faders" would send the unpowered signal (left and right) onto the subs. Plug your ipod into the inbound on the mixer, and you'd have an incredible stereo. You'll need to buy heavier speaker cables to drive that wattage, and possibly some "speak-on" connector adaptors to match up to that amp. If you don't have an RMS jack for your ipod and you want "true" stereo, then get one of those too. The signal for the powered subs doesn't have to be pricy cable. Assembling all of this = 12pack, and an address, looking forward to meeting you.

Remember when you have to turn it up, do it slowly, listen for quality. When the quality begins to suffer STOP, when you keep turning it up and you hear buzzes, and pops it may be too late.
