I can see it now...the typical "this is the best deal we could get you in these difficult times...the economy is horrible...unemployment is high...foreclosures...the government is going bankrupt...the company is still struggling...it's pitiful of us to demand any raises or COLA with this contract...accept the profit sharing...and the dangling carrot of a signing bonus" bullshit. Then he will stand up on his podium and tell the great membership of the UAW...here's the bed we created for you...enjoy it...sleep like a baby knowing we got you all we could: Hey I-UAW, thanks for always looking out for us...we knew you were out for our best interest. Will you be sharing this bed with us? I am sure if it's good enough for us, it's good enough for the I-UAW, correct? Mr. King will do his best to dodge the fact that the I-UAW has enjoyed a 13% raise over the last contract, that they gave up nothing, all the while expecting us to give back, give back, and give back again...while they continued to get, get, and get some more. Mr. King's and the rest of the I-UAW's beds will look a little more like this:

The IUAW is selling out its members. Plain and simple.

They, as in the highly paid, those on top, ceo's, etc, always step on those under them, they do the BEST THEY CAN TO FATTEN THEIR POCKET BOOKS, and when something goes wrong, they resign etc, and hand it over to someone else, and the cycle likely repeats itself. But, by the time something goes wrong, they have millions if not more saved up. Must be nice.

We’ve got to get control of this union that’s the only way to do something about this, and the way they set it up it’s going to be very difficult for membership to control its own destiny. Only a true democratic election where everyone gets to vote for the president is the answer. They the IUAW have stacked the deck against its membership. The best thing we can do is keep voting NO as many times as it takes. If enough locals start turning this shit down we MIGHT have a chance.
George Palmer is a good guy but does he and other IUAW officials really need to tour Europe this summer? How much did that cost?

Ford does not care... Did you hear that the unemployment office received over 17,000 yea seventeen thousand applications for employment? If you or I don't like it, there is someone ready to take our place.
Fact is, for all the crying and bitching, we will accept a contract. Raises, COLA, Bonuses, Profit Sharing, Health Care is all irrelevant... How many of us will just quit because we don't like it up the ass? I for one will not be able to run out and get another $60,000 job.
We're over a barrel and they know it... I don't like it and I say fight to the bitter end, give us what we deserve, be fair and responsible. But don't short change me just to stick it in your own pocket. Because in the end the quality of a Ford product is in my hands... A fair days work, for a fair days pay...

Bob King should'nt even be in there anyway. He wanted to give up our strike rights. The President should have been the person on the exc board that did'nt want to sell our right to strike. The membership spoke and he still got promoted.
