I am working tonight and Central has a herd of Electricians in to make sure all the exhaust fans are working by Monday. Word is Joe Bobnar has instructed Skilled Trades Management that every exhaust fan must be up and running by Monday! This will do alot to help out with the extreme heat especially when the cooler air can be funneled in somewhat at night...but overall this is a great thing.

I also found out that those Bigfoot systems use chilled water to cool things down. Only problem is they NEVER hooked up the chilled water lines to them. Typical

I wonder if this has anything to do with our visitor coming in next week. Awefully coincidentally, don't you think. If it was for us, why wasn't it done two or three months ago.

Great point Kuka. I wouldn't think they would fix the place up just for visitors? ....sarcasm....

The biggest factor is probably the chance of having to give extra breaks. Regardless of the reason though, I sure as hell will be glad if they are working. Cant hurt anyway.

For those of you who think those fans will be working, we will also be getting 10k from the grievance too. Just saying.

So they exhaust the heat out. What is replacing the heat? Oh more heat. Maybe we could get the big floor fans at doors blowing air in at night when it's cooler outside by about 15 degrees.

I believe the vent fans on the roof are on a timer and or a thermostat, which means they probably do not run at night. If they did run at night, exhausting the warm air through the roof at night would automatically draw cooler air through any open door or bay cooling the plant.
But yea, during the day, exhausting hot air through the roof, just draws in hot air off the concrete outside any open door.
