Who are these people with the attitudes? I know Tequia used to be a supervisor in paint, but what about that dark headed snippy bat? Next time she gets up in my business, I'm gonna let her hear some words she hasn't heard in a while. Just stamp the paper and shut the f--- up!

Don't forget about the new privacy act. Labor is not entitled to all info, just the bare necessities.

Agreed, the people in Labor really have some issues. Such attitude. At my old Plant we were all FORD workers, and each of us had our job. We got along as co-workers. Smiles all around. Like customer service!

Here I go again...but we never had people like this at LAP. All I can say is stay out of labor so we don't have to listen to their shit. It took me forever to find out what Ms. Lewis did up front...every time I asked her about something, her reply was "that's not my job"...I finally asked her what the fuck was her job?

While running the risk of being called a 'suck-ass" I have to comment on this topic. Too many of us hourly go into LR with our own attitudes. You AWOL and wonder why they won't cover you. You don't have the right documentation for an excused absence. Your attitude is usually mirrored by LR. Treat them with respect and understand how much crap they put up with on daily basis. Granted, some seem to treat us like 2nd class citizens and a bother to deal with. I just smile and thank them for their time and leave when my business is concluded. As for Takeya, she was my supervisor in Excursion body 100 years ago and she can be abrasive as hell. But all in all she treated us with respect if we gave her the same. I recently went in to check in from medical and she was the one I spoke to. Her first comment was, "Don't you know you need to have medical sign this before you bring it here?" Could have sounded like attitude if you don't understand her personality. My response, "Damn Takeya, if I had known don't ya think I'd have done that?!?" She actually laughed and told me to go get it signed. No confrontation, no attitude, I just did what had to be done and when I came back she was the first to assist me. All I'm saying is, sometimes WE convey "attitude" when we walk in there. Usually because we are in there not of our own choosing. In almost 30 years at Ford I've tried to treat everyone with respect. Hourly, salaried, contractors. Not all deserved it, but it didn't cost me a thing to be a decent human being and I walked away feeling like the better person. Life's too short to let anyone make a moment of it miserable....ANYONE.

The few times I have had to go there I have stood at the desk and waited for one of them to look up and acknowledge me. Then they want to sit there and have you yell your business out to the whole office...very unprofessional. Not all of us are a POS....but they make us feel like it. Enough with the attitude already in Labor.

You must have a short memory Scott, the ones in labor at LAP now are better. But the ones we had when I hired in were horrible, would not acknowledge you when you came in, acted like you were stupid or wasting their time for asking a question & one of them George I cant remember his last name would cuss you out, cussed me out & told me to get off my #!*# & get back to work when I called & asked the procedure for opening a medical after breaking 3 ribs.

Ha ha...of course...but even George was way better to deal with than Takeya. Everyone has opinions...I'm sure quite a few people really like Takeya...she was just never willing to do her job for me. As for people walking in with attitudes, they deserve what they get. You should walk in with a cordial attitude offering a level of respect you are expecting in return...seems simple to me.

Don't get too carried away with your glee Kess:) George has been gone for a long time, I was reminding Scott of how it used to be, its much better now. I do have to agree with almost 30 to some degree, they do put up with a lot of crap in labor from some of the same people over & over, people playing the system etc. but that doesnt give them the right to treat people that come in with a legitimate issue like crap.

Is there anybody that we can file a complaint to that will hold these people accountable for their attitude? I mean I go in there about once a year & its like your the scum of the earth. They treat u like a asshole for even asking them a question. that is if they even look up to acknowledge u. It's ridicoulous

LAP, KTP, they're all a bunch of cocksuckers! At LAP, I got some attitude from that 75% dead, shitstick, Jack for being out on bereavement for my grandfather. He almost caused a shitquake by shifting the tectonic shitplates right under his own shitfeet. But being the classy fucking guy that I am... I just slightly cussed him. I think he felt bad when I told him the cause of my absence, but fuck that guy anyway.

What the hell am I doing wrong? I could not name even one person in labor relations. Gotta say, I have never had any issues with attitude at all...
Having said that, I think everyone is missing the real point... It's not those of us that go up there once a year that is the problem. It's the ones who are there constantly. Kinda like Cheers, where everyone knows your name. I think if I were dealing with deadbeats day in and day out, where you just know they have bullshit stories, I would be pretty hard to deal with too.
It's just human nature, when you work with shit all day, you're gonna spread it around...

And just so everyone knows, if you come in with any type of medical documentation or doctors note, you DO NOT have to show it to a labor rep. Tell them you need to go to Medical to get it signed off. That is your right under the HIPAA law.

Rose Maire Tyler was the best! Never belittled you. Lonnie sucked! I, after all these years have had to go the fmla route this past year, unfortunatly. Its really embarrassing to take this route, but at my age I am falling apart. I live in constant pain daily. I come to work in pain. Some days are worse than others. I am not a POS! like the majority of workers who claim it. Just an older worker who has been broken apart from Ford. There will be more of you that are falling apart like me soon. I pray for you! Because this truly sucks! And to be treated like a POS is wrong . Now as most of the main hiring was in 1993, I think there is going to be alot more people on medical restrictions, medical and FMLA. Think about it, most are in their 40's - 60's now.

The shittalk is from watching too much Trailer Park Boys, so I can't take credit for some of the Jim Lahey quotes(that aren't in quotations). "Never Cry Shitwolf". J. Lahey.

Trailer Park Boys series, and their movies are a must see. Look for these famous lines:
1. Ricky: "Knock Knock Randy" 2. Bubbles: "Watch-out! It's those damn bottle kids!" 3. Corey & Trevor in unison: "We love you Julion"
I gave it 4 stars
