The purpose of this strike vote is to give the negotiating team the authority to determine whether or not a strike is necessary in order to accomplish their goal in securing a contract that is fair and equitable for all parties concerned.

That sounds great tony but everyone in America knows we are not gonna strike.i would bet that we could get nothing but a bonus offer and the UAW would say I would vote yes this is job security, for the future its good for us!!!So I personally I dont get it.I will be there to vote though. So I guess at least we have a right to at least vote on it.If thats comforting to anyone? Thanks for the INFO tony

Does anybody know if King was really quoted saying "That since the contract talks are going so good, we may not even have a strike vote". Are we not the ones who should determeine that. Not someone who has already sold us out.

to vote no on the strike vote is to say "no matter what we are asked to give up i will not strike"
this is the only uaw plant i have ever been in where there was so much confusion over that and where the result wasnt 100% to strike if necessary.
