I really believe COLA will return...but it better roll into our pay at the end of the 4 years and not start over without rolling in...just a thought.

Scott I hope your right because the COLA is the one thing that will make us all think harder about a yes / no when we go vote on this contract. I just don`t see them taking the current COLA amount ($2.13 is what I`ve heard it is ) and giving it to us at that amount as a roll-in. IF THEY WOULD with a large signing bonus I think I would have to vote yes.....Maybe.....They hide stuff in there too.

No, I don't know what amount it would start at...but I'm hoping the final amount in 2015 rolls in and not disappears. I would be happy with $.75-$1 to start... I don't mean our current one will roll in...it's gone. I mean if we get COLA in this contract...in 2015, it will roll in. Many have stated that Ford will only allow COLA if in 2015, it goes back to zero and doesn't roll into our base wage.

I heard about that, COLA coming into effect in 2015, and them splitting up our bonus.
Any bonus, for the grievance should be paid in full (no dividing it), also needs to be recorded as ...... so less taxes. COLA needs to take effect as soon as we ratify this contract, not in the last year. If not, NO from me. Rolling in COLA in 2015 to our pay would increase chances of my yes vote.
But, I still feel if there are raises given to new hires, they can give us one. I may settle on COLA though, if it rolls in. No COLA / raise is no vote unless give us a 50k total bonus.
12,500 paid over 4 yrs is crap when you compare that to what we gave up, and don't forget, 4 more years of us having none of it back, so the bonus needs to be much more than 12,500.

Does anyone the hourly rates for Production/Trades at GM and Chrysler? They don't divert $1 an hour to VEBA, nor do I think they lost all of their raises as we did. Anyone?

10,000 new jobs, fusion taken from mexico? The Fusion part really caught me too. I didn't think it possible to pry either it or the Fiesta out of Mexico. Thoughts about where it could land anyone? Wherever it finds a place it will secure a nice future for a lot of folks.

Keep Hermosillo producing Fusion for Mexico/Latin America market?

I think there's still another unit headed to Mexico...one that isn't being built yet? All B cars are supposed to be built in Mexico...ex: Fiesta...maybe something else on the B platform coming?

According to Bloomberg News, Ford and the union have discussed adding as many as 10,000 jobs in the U.S., and may bring production of the Fusion mid-size sedan here from Mexico.
A person familiar with the discussions said the number of jobs is inaccurate and Ford will not move all Fusion production to the U.S.
