Doesnt sound good to me.Sounds like more cuts are coming good job King!
The UAW said last week that Ford does not plan to bring all production of the Ford Fusion -- now produced in Hermosillo, Mexico -- to the U.S. Still, analysts have said Flat Rock would be well-suited for overflow production of the next-generation Fusion as industry sales increase over the next several years.
Ford CEO Alan Mulally last week in Bangkok, Thailand, repeated that the Dearborn automaker is planning to add 7,000 jobs by the end of 2012 in the U.S. The figure includes 750 salaried engineers, whom Ford has already hired.
But Ford's job commitments will depend on the U.S. economy's rebound and whether the UAW agrees to contract terms that allow the automaker to keep its labor costs competitive with Asian automakers

Articles stating up to 12,000 jobs added or saved with Ford with new agreement...I like how they can say we added 6500 and saved 5500...LOL. They can say they saved 41,000 this contract for that matter. As others have pointed out, for this contract to mirror GM's, it should've only taken 30 minutes to put this deal together since it sounds like it's very similar to GM's.

We've been saving our creating the same jobs for the last 7 years. Evey-time there's a negotiation they bring out the big Jobs number. So we've already paid for those jobs!! paid for them a few times.
