When looking through the contract highlights, if you want to call it that, there is no reinstatement of x-mas bonus and 10% of our profit sharing goes to VEBA.

No, but they want to give you some kind of achievement bonus of $250 in December...whatever the hell that is. And 10% of our PS going to VEBA should not even be a consideration...

Is that not an easy way to MAKE us pay for insurance, but not call it that? If you pay $2500 or more over the life of the contract by giving up 10% of your PS, that's paying more for your insurance.

The 10% to the Veba is because they (UAW) Negotiated the worst possible deal they could 4 years ago and now need to bail it out.

I want to see our retirees taken care of as much as the rest. I have, and Im sure the majority of you on here too, relatives that have retired from Ford. But taking this money from profit sharing isnt going to help the VEBA. The UAW has been in charge of VEBAs before. How did that work out for Caterpillar retirees? Bankrupt.

how can you not see what the 10% of our PS going to VEBA really is? It's really just a sneaky way of raising our Union dues!!!!

Yep...but what happened to the $87,330/hour we already gave back...41,000 employees gave up COLA at $2.13/hr...if we only work 40 hours...that's $3.4932 million a week they gained from us to fund VEBA...and now they need 10% of.profit sharing. What's next...$1 an hour next go round? Kiss my ass with this shit.

This contract isn't worth the paper its written on...."highlights" are 6k signing bonus....bankrupt GM gets 5k? we get our profit sharing early...wow, what a terrific get there?...$1500 a year inflation protection...hey how about COLA for inflation protection...well we can't do that because it might be more then $1500 and it's rolled into the check for life....this is an absolute joke and in my opinion will be voted down easily...there is no meat here, THEY GOT NOTHING BACK THAT WE GAVE UP FOR CONCESSIONS...NOTHING AND THE BEST PART IS THEY LIED AGAIN ABOUT THE EOS GRIEVANCE WHICH MAKES THIS A LANDSLIDE NO IN MY OPINION. KING/SETTLES HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE MEMBERSHIP WANTS AND IF ESKRIDGE VOTED FOR THIS THEN WE NEED TO TALK AS WELL.
