GM is a bigger company and "YES" even after down-sizing and bankruptcy. GM workers have always received more in benefits and pay, such as signing bonuses, etc. Remember when GM workers got around 150K for the buyout and FORD and Chrysler were offering 100K. I remember seeing one time that FORD and Nissan would have to merge to equal the net-worth of GM. Now I'm saying net-worth, total car sales. I'm sure that has changed a bit since Ford and Nissan have grown stronger over the last year.

48,500(gm employees) x $5,000 = 242,500,000 40,600(ford employees) x $6,000 = 243,600,000
Wow King really meant Ford would not be at a disadvantage.

Ford's tax incentive for investing at LAP covers this....costing them nothing.

For the record. Int he language of the 03 and 07 agreement it was referred to as a settlement bonus. I had to look it up. Though the front page of those highlights did say signing the other language said settlement.

Is this "bonus" somehow connected to the grievance?
