Do you remember the media announced an avg of $5200 for our profit sharing this year? Did you get $5200? I worked the whole year and I didn't...so look at that $3752 number...that is average...you more than likely won't get that...maybe $3300-$3500? But please understand you are not guaranteed the $3752 they are printing...

I know, but people think this is something Ford is giving us...it is money we are owed. And the media throws out the number like we all are getting it.

Not to mention there are team leaders that believe they are getting a $1.50/hr raise? Don't they already get a $1.50 over base VAT $28.12?

Scott, team leaders only get .50 cents more on the hour. When the contract gets ratified ( at some point it will ) then that is when each plant will work on implementing this. I spoke with Scott about this because I do like this. The teams will be smaller but the big picture is that it will be creating jobs inside the plant. This was an issue the last time during local negotiations because the membership didn't like the fact of a team leader being a bid job. So Scott will bring it to the membership and see what everyone thinks. This will not be forced on anyone but I do like it because it creates a a shit load of jobs within the plant. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it's not a bid job, but a joint process between the union and the company. To me, a lot of people no matter how fair you do it. If was a bid job then it would be a non debatable issue and seniority would get it. Management hates this because the fact that it will force them to re-allocate work and creating jobs.

Team leaders are gonna get an addt'l $1.50 over ARP pay of $28.76? So they will make $30.26? Sign me up...

From the way that I understand it, yes over what they currently are making currently. I think the focus on this issue is no so much the money (even that is nice) but the jobs that will be created here.

So $1.50 over the $29+ they make now...so closer to $31/hr? That's skilled trades money...sign me up twice.

I also believe that TL's will be given more responsbilities and will have to sign something detailing such. Including some things that may currently be a supervisors responsibility. In other words, if you want the money, you will have to do the work. No more "thats not my job."

I'm with Scott on this one, sign me up and I believe it won't happen either. Do I think it could change the current TL into bid jobs..yes. But I also think this could just be a ploy to do that, offer something but not deliver it.

Don't expect the 10-1 ratio either...they will never follow that entirely either. No way to implement the 10-1 ratio plant-wide. They may be able to get close to it in trim/chassis/frame, but not in stamping, material handling, body, or paint IMHO.

You would have to pay me $5.00 more an hour for me to be team leader (babysitter) again.

Yea, LAP is saying that if they remain a traditional plant, the $1.50 will not apply... but as I stated above...
I also believe that TL's will be given more responsbilities and will have to sign something detailing such. Including some things that may currently be a supervisors responsibility. In other words, if you want the money, you will have to do the work. No more "thats not my job."
I think this will give management a tool to easily remove TL's who refuse to do their job as a supervisor sees fit.

Well Im up here at CAP and they have this Team Leader BS and I'll say this they are nothing more than rats and suckass....We got TL's up here docking union employees time because they took the job and have to stay all night while we get to cut out early...so to me they've given them so much more authority up here that they think and act like supervisors..Sorry this is in the wrong thread

But thats what the contract would say...and we always follow the contract and new give anything back after agreed upon it...........lol.
