Eskridge put a email out today supporting it....apparently he drank the IUAW Koolaide while he was up north....wouldn't wipe my ass with this offer.

I hope this is false. I would like to see the email if it is true.

It was handed out today...he clearly advised all of us to ratify this very acceptable offer. Scott has to have ambitions to move up to the international level in his future...you don't get there by rocking the boat too often. He stood up against the concessions...he says this contract isn't perfect, but it's a good one. Those are his words.

The problem is the union has no weapons what so ever. There are 10 out of work potential employees out there to every 1 in this workforce. Ford could actually replace all 41,000 employees in a matter of months if they had to. That would be drastic, and the business would suffer but Ford would probably survive it. What we don't get to see is what Ford initially offered in the negotiations, how bad it would have been without negotiating. Don't take this post as supporting the contract, I don't. I just know that the Wall Street numbers on average are higher than they were 10 years ago, yet my wages aren't. The entire middle class has suffered a long time, we are very lucky to have held out as long as we have. The long fight will continue......

This is NOT a good deal for us I dont see how he could support it.It will be his last term if he supports this.

Must be a much heavier bonus involved for the unit chairs to convince the membership to pass this so called " Good Deal"

If you made $200k per year and the promise to move to international....or the threat of not moving to international....you would say its a good deal and to pass it...especially since you were a negoiator!!
