We have received annual performance bonuses in the past...3% annually...now they call it a COLA bonus to convince you it is to fight inflation since you have no shot in hell of getting the REAL COLA back. And allow me to steal one from a good friend...if it is really to fight inflation, why is it $1500 every year? Why not $1500/1600/1700/1800 to make the bonus to battle inflation more believable? They're mind fucking all of us...plain and simple. Put language in there about giving 10% to VEBA but they don't even know if it's legal? Let's vote on something that may be illegal? People making $15 an hour getting the same profit sharing as a senior employee making twice as much? I really hope many of you can see thru all the bullshit and realize there is nothing in this contract for the senior employee. Lots of promises that usually never happen at FoMoCo. Check out all the so-called promises and guarantees in the 2007 contract and see how many never came to fruition.

They will tell you we've been in worst economic times since the Great Depression, economy still uncertain, Ford has to remain competitive & that if u cared about retirees u will gladly give 10% of your profit sharing for them. Lol

Why shouldn't people who would be working just as hard get the same profit sharing regardless of their hourly pay? Even though their pay wasn't equal, isn't their effort? Or maybe I missed something.

I think your moniker says it all...thanks for playing. I wasn't trying to upset you. I thought it was a serious question. Certainly it is one that will come up in the future, and is part of the problem the union is allowing to take place by letting the two tier system stand.

No, you didn't upset me, I just figured you were playing devilsadvocate. I guess we are stuck in a paradigm...our profit sharing has always been tied to income...now they want to cap it, share it, and pay out the same amount to all workers regardless if they make half the salary. I officially have no problem with it at all...just an observation.
