Obviously, the contract is a very passionate debate. I want to take the time to thank the union reps that hit the floor and take a beating every night. They are there for a purpose though. Dan Davilla stuck a target on his chest and listened to it all in body shop. (Good job Dan!) Brent Eskridge invites the shots accross the bow! (I'll text him my &*%$@$%ers) Yes, I am the worst offender by far!
If we hit our committeemen with our feelings about the contract to vent - someone in need of their services may suffer their absence. If you are good on your job please vent to coworkers and let the committeeman pass to the ones that need them the most. Feel free to vent on here also. Feel free to vent Saturday with the IUAW PLEASE! We need to stand together to protect the ones that need it during this process however.
We are only a union in the future if we work together after the contract vote is over. Sorry if your ears are ringing Dan......

Good post Tony! I spoke with a few of them tonight and they seemed pretty down in the dumps from having their heads kicked in all night (a little harder than normal! Just remember that they do not necessarily agree with the contract or support it. However, they are there to answer our questions the best they can, whether they agree or not. For the ones who are hitting the floor, taking the costant beating, and trying to help...thanks guys and keep it up!

Well said Tony, a lot of the new committee have not been through this type of thing. It's important they know they are the person getting vented on not the person they are angry with.

when you take the job of Union Rep 95% of your dealings are with unhappy people wanting answers in some form on some dealings...so it's part of the job you signed up for....just more of it in this case.
