He's starting to sound like one of those company mouthpieces. Here's the Quot.
"We understand it makes no sense for us to make $100 an hour when we see all this unemployment and blight out there. Our members also understand they have sons and daughters that need jobs also. "
Really a $100 an hour Jimmy? just like we made $79 an hour 3 years ago hu.

I cannot believe a union leader would be so desperate that he would publicly disdain the ones he represents. It is unconscionable that he would fabricate such a bold face lie to strong arm the membership into ratification of a concessionary contract. I can no longer tell IUAW and Ford management apart..................

I think we should form a caravan to drive to International and carry signs in front of King and Settles offices to protest them for bringing us this "proposal".

I can no longer tell IUAW and Ford management apart.................. It is time to face the truth.....We now have a company union.

I'm telling you, this Prick has a Daddy Dearest attitude... He knows what's best for us, even if he has to shove it down our throats... I just wish I could see the sincerely offended look on his face if this contract is voted down... I bet he will be completely stupified while falling to his knees, hands raised to the sky crying "why, why, oh god why?" Thanks... Dick.

If we reject it I look for the UAW to slam there membership as greedy, selfishness, and out of touch rank and file who don't know whats best for them.

Does Jimmy get paid from ford pension and iuaw? If so why doesn't he give his pension back and only collect one paycheck instead of two . Also does he have the same shitty health care deal the rest of the retirees have to live with? JUST A THOUGHT

I think the retirees should be at the Q and A session with signs protesting this contract or at least have them set up in trucks parked at the front door.

Someone stated the dual pensions are over. On the healthcare, no they do not share it because they are a separate entity from ford workers.

Pmooret, sounds like you are ready take up torches and resolve it the old fashioned way. Seriously though, I like your first idea, but unless you know alot of retirees I doubt the local will organize a rally against a contract the local leader supports.

You're right, there would never be an organized rally to display signs in protest. This would be a wildcat's first amendment right.
