Why are we getting a raise for the 2nd tier and not us?
There are a few reasons why this happened the way it did. The truth is when we stand on a fair days work for a fair days pay, our 2nd tier is so much under the 1st tier that the priority shifts to bringing them as close to the 1st tier as possible. The second reason is the company put it to the Union and the Negotiating team that the money that would be saved from giving the 1st tier a raise would be used to keep open AAI and Ohio Assembly. Our neighbors at LAP were in this situation at the last contract and now they have a product with another one on the way and an extremely good future. As a Union it is hard for us to turn our backs on fellow sisters and brothers who's plants are in jeopardy.
Our IUAW would love to put a guilt trip on you with this to get you to vote yes. However, the IUAW is more concerned with increasing dues in total than representing the active hourly at Ford at the table, period! (Why else would the IUAW have brought the last modification to Ford hourly? - only to announce record profits from Ford afterwards.) Why else would they allow Ford to pattern bargain with a bankrupt GM!! Answer - Bob King told you in advance they would not put Ford at a disadvantage! Now with Ford making many, many quarters profit - how can the IUAW ask you to sacrifice??
I'm sorry Mr. Settles - I have yet to meet anyone at Ford or otherwise that makes $100 per hour! Nice try - but your antics only shows how desperate you are.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond to the lies. I just have a hard time figuring out how people with character can lie to the members.
