In the new proposal Sterling Axle and Rawsonville plants will be converted to all 2-tier. Pages 216C and 24C in the letters of understanding.

I can tell you something that's going on at Magna Seating in Shepherdsville that you won't hear about on tv...the union members there are trying to decide which union they want representing them. A large number of them are not wanting the UAW to represent them considering what we have lost and/or given up...I have no idea what others they are looking at, but they are strongly considering having no ties to the UAW.

The unionized workforces of America are now beginning to feel what the rest of Americas middle class workers have been experiencing for over a decade. This loss of bargaining power is common among all the labor unions, not just the UAW.

Looks like Chrysler will have many plants entirely 2nd tier with no cap on how many they can employ.

I am not surprised they are looking at other options. If somebody I knew from one of the transplants asked if they should join a union I would tell them YES, you need to join a union. I would also tell them to find a union where they can directly vote for all of there union leaders. I think with the uaw trying to scare everyone into voting for this agreement it is going to hurt there chances of organizing the transplants.
