Did anyone see on WHAS where the media went to a union brothers house with 44 years? Really went through me how he was trying to preach to us in front of the whole world. Everyone already hates us as it is and there he is pretty much calling us idiots. I guess after 44 years he still living on pay check to pay check and really needs the $6,000 bonus. Am I wrong...what do you think?

He is a Union brother who is entitled to his opinion. Try not to get into someones personal situation. You never know what problems a person may have. This is a taste of how the news media will play. It will only get worse with the media.

I think he was just voicing his opinion. The public thinks were over paid so no matter what you say, that will never change. It amazes me how the public or any union buster doesn't speak out on how one man in a company that is so broke gets paid 84$ million but some how that's ok. Let us ask for money and we are the greedy ones. WTF!!!
I do agree with you that we should keep our issues in house and not for the public, but the things I say rub people wrong sometimes as well.

I hate to say it, but I hope many people in the future go way beyond their 30 yrs just so they can't replace them with 2nd tier workers.

When u go on tv like that, you are making your "personal situation" public. If you can't take criticism, keep your damn mouth shut and stay off of tv. I hate the fact that our terms of employment are raked thru the media every four years. I would never ever help to do it.

Downright disgusting and shameful.

This mans not a public figure. The news media will back the company, hands down. This is one of many tricks they will pull.

Kenny is a stand up guy, comes to work and does his job well. His families situation is his own business, as well as his vote. Everyone's situation is different. Be glad we at least get a chance to vote, millions of American workers don't have that choice.

Never give your real name to the press.
Make up a name like "Mike Litorus".
And it doesnt matter what we say, the public in general thinks we are over paid with easy work.
How ever this plays out, best of luck to everyone!

How about the next time a newsman is interviewing 1 of us we ask them how much they make per year, how much are their bonuses, etc. They give out all our personal info, let's see how much they are willing to give out.

Maybe that should be an automatic statement from all of us.
What do you make?
Did you get fired from here and and have a hard on for the rest of us?
Have you ever worked on the line?

As LAP was having press time -if I drove out the gate and a reporter stuck a camera and a microphone toward me, I smiled and flicked them off!
Hard to see that going on the 6 o'clock news....

I have noticed since about the time the concession agreement was going on that WHAS has backed off somewhat from biased/slanted reporting on our plants. It seems that Joe Arnold is the one who always covers our contracts and apparently has someone who keeps him up to date.
As for WHAS interviewing this person you mentioned they also interviewed another person from KTP who had an opposing view, thus presenting both viewpoints.
However, I do feel like the media (even Joe Arnold) is not fully informed as to why we are against bonuses versus COLA and how it affects our retirement pay, the fact that there is nothing in this agreement for retirees and the fact that concessions were suppose to be returned, which makes Bill Ford a big fat liar.

I'd give the name "Ben Dover" to the media...If you are female, give the name "Helen Bed" or "Anita More...." I don't want say that last name. I don't want to get banned from this forum. LOL!!

Kennys job is redlined. When he retires it will not be filled. Instead be spread out among many. One more lost union dues paying job. We all must make decisions that are best for us and our family, given our personal situation. Good luck to Kenny. Retire when you are ready my friend.

Kenny already has a new job...gonna be in charge of starting up the oil pm program at LAP as soon as he gets his $100,000 buyout after this piece of shit contract is voted in and then he's off to Lap.
