I work at ktp with 2000 seniority. Also ktp is my home plant. If Iam layed off and lap has new hires or even 2nd tiered can I bump them with the new contract. Thanks

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but if there was a layoff at KTP, I believe you could exercise your right to in-zone seniority and bump a lower person from LAP. Don't know the particular rules for what has to fall into place for this to happen though. I could be wrong, but that's how I've heard it explained before. I'm sure Kessinger or Brent can give a definate answer.

if its like KCAP trucks and suv are ran like two different plants and if its a TLO you can't bump the other side, but they are saying with an ILO we will be able to move to trucks if we have the seniority.. dont know if that helps with LAP and KTP actually being two different plants....

Believe the only way you can bump is if out of zone jobs, 2 offers I believe, may be wrong, are offered to you, and you turn them down, and are about to loose your benefits, then you can bump, and that person gets asked to go, or looses their benefits.
Something like that.

Something like that. Now that you say that, I believe that is part of it. Higher seniority can't just bump them outright, there has to be a work opportunity out-of-zone. The higher seniority passes on the out-of-sone work opportunity and then the low seniority person in-zone has to accept the out-of-zone work or be placed on ILO, while the higher seniority member takes their place. I think that is how the in-zone seniorty works. At least, that is how it was explained to me and what I remember of it.

No layoff at KTP. We are working OT and Saturdays, but anything could happen.
