Our plant in Sandusky is a parts plant, most jobs are easy work but fast and continuous. We can't keep 2nd tier people in here so you know it would be hard to keep them there where you have to physically work . Plus hard to get god quality people get alot of druggies and people who made their kids get a job ,neither of those make it long either .Drug results come back and the others can't sit and play xbox .

well i would say we arent any better. theres no real reason to think they wont do a quality job. we arent super men. for the most part we are somewhat spoiled and not very bright, really. you dont have to read too much on this board to know that. on the other hand that statement could be made about most people in general ,but thats another story. heres a few facts: the new hires arent gonna be tripling their income since they barely hire in at 2x min. wage.simple math they are hiring in at just a few dollars more than what zappos is hiring at and zappos has a/c and feeds every employee every day. they will want higher wages as soon as they get in the door. to think they wont want what is fair( fair days work for fair days pay goes out the window when two people doing the same work have a 50% wage disparity) is awfully wishful thinking. its like expecting them to think "mmmmmmmm boy this shit sandwich isnt near as runny as the one i ate last week, im not even interested in the bacon cheeseburger the guy next to me got!"it aint gonna be that way!!!!! Zappos pays 8.25 an hour so, actually, its almost twice as much on the hour...plus benifits...etc. But yeah you do get free snacks at Zappos. My wifes friend just got hired at Zappos at $13.75 hr
