Have you ever seen a movie where someone is getting released from prison and they give them all of their possetions back? Well today, I was released from the Kentucky Truck Prison and when I checked out, they handed me my dignity back! Now I am free to return to LAP where I can again be treated like a human being and given the respect that I deserve. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I didn't really expect the mindless who are used to being mistreated everyday to understand. As I told my team, I met a lot of really great people during my stay at KTP, but just can't understand the way that management treats them or that the union allows it.

Sometimes you just have to pull your panties out of your crack, keep your mouth shut and just do your job the best you can. If you do that, you will never see your supervisor and never need a committeeman. I don't think I ever saw good people victimized by management or shit on by the union for being a good guy. Misery loves company, you want shit, KTP will serve it on a silver platter and offer you seconds...

I am no push over nor am I a trouble maker. I come to work everyday do my job to the best of my ability and lookout for my fellow workers. That being said, in Trim there are the constant threats of write ups and lack of respect from the supervisors. During my nearly 3 years, I was only written up once although they tried a couple of other times but I had my numbers that I wasn't on the operation for those jobs. When I was written up and harrassed by my supervisor it was right out there on the floor, not in Labor, which is a very unprofessional way to reprimand somebody and is a technique that poor managers use as a way to belittle their employees and try to scare the rest of the workers. That is a no-no and is something taught in most management classes. However, while we were at the picnic table, I had the committeeman write up the supervisor for working on the line that day and failing to ask me to work a double the Friday before when several others on my team were asked and not only did I know the operations that were needed, I had seniority on them and had less o/t than them. In the end, I got docked 2 tenths and an R & W, but I got paid 3 tenths for him working on the line and agreed to settle for 4 hours of overtime for the extra shift that I wasn't asked to work. If you are happy and haven't had any problems than I salute you and wish you well. As for me, what I saw occur on a daily basis was ineptitute, ignorance, harrassment, and secrecey!

the only reason i bid on a QL position was to get out of KTP. the first thing managment told me in my first training class back was " we have a different mindset at LAP and we will not lose that . here we work as a team and never had to have a team concept. managment at LAP is here to help you with proplems on the line and fix them , not write you up for them." that came from a sup who worked out at KTP and came back to LAP .

I too worked in trim 9 yrs. and know how they are.I guess ive been lucky because when they fucked with us the whole team started finding PROBLEMS and reasons to turn the line off.In my eyes all supervisors suck whether its at KTP or LAP, but thats just me.Anyway hope LAP works out for you.Funny I never hear any other transplants running down KTP.Is Lap that much better.?And if so HOW,whats so good about it?Just curious

Yep good job jr. I was wondering what you would come up with.
Personally, I wish all the lap fuckers were as interested in leaving the ktp board as they are leaving the plant.
If lap management says its gonna be all different there, it must be real. No way anyone from ford would blow smoke up someone's ass.

If you go to a third world country and they are drinking water out of the same river that they dump their raw sewage into would just let them continue to drink contaiminated water or try to teach them how to purify the water? If they told you to just accept it because that's how the water is here, would you drink it? Of course not! But if you couldn't get clean water, what would you do? Stay there and drink the sh*t or go home where the water is pure?
